Tamayo defense exposed in KBL level, but we all know that since U18. really bad shooting night from Tamayo in this game

Not bad! i'm happy with our performance this game, if kouame and dave i. played this game the outcome will be different.

Tamayo will bounce back for sure.

This might be Korea's A-team and Gilas played without Kouame and used guys like Chiu and Quiambao to guard Ratliffe... on the switch, one time they went really small and Dwight was covering the paint. Impressive performance with practically the same preparation time as Chot's SEA Games squad.

96-92 final score.

Korea took over in 3rd. Didnt catch all of the early 3rd, plus lossy feed, overall still good performance by college core.
Some notes:
Belangel has jitters
Kiefer cant shoot 2 straight 3's to save his life
Abando shoot lights outin 2nd, but maybe got exposed in 3rd (defense and not giving extra pass)
RJ is okay, but Nenad played SJ+RJ together haha
Quiambao can play 4/5 at this level, but needs to fix excesses in his shooting technique (a good trainer will fix that)
Dwight only showed up in 2nd half i think
Navarro still shows his lost confidence at the start, but slowly regaining it
Lebron Lopez still gigil
only Geo Chiu advantage is his mobility but will get exposed as game goes on (no post game)
biggest let down is Tamayo

Korea attacked mismatch, Tamayo late switching included
Some Korea players can create in the mismatch
Choi has always been the Gilas killer, hate that player haha

Against korea, there were crucial possessions in the last period that gilas players rush their shots.
But again, nice performance and we have system in coach nenad.
Just my 2 cents.

impressive game against a stacked korean team considering the seniors team is severely undermanned. this 4 point loss is more than acceptable. meanwhile, josh's boys blew a double digit lead and are now being annihilated by AUS with a 20 plus lead. that's definitely a coaching problem.

Korea been hyping these tune up as revenge games and brought their team A, not sure about their preparation but I doubt they'll make the claim of "revenge" game without ample prep. Meanwhile we are missing Kouame and Dave I, Kouame's presence inside would've changed the complexion of the game and he is a decent offensive player as well. All in all, I can confidently say that this is an absolutely better showing by our Gilas College Team compared to our SEA Games showing.

Apples and oranges

Missed the game.

Coach nenad use diff system both offense and defense?

I was definitely wrong. I thought we went all out in SEA games and sent our "best pros" instead of developing our players. It turns out, they were the SEA games Team C all along including the coach.

Correct on many levels the players are twinner team a and b pero nahihila ng coach na team z kaya nagmukhang team c gilas haha

"Might"

It is. Like someone else said, KBL has been hyping this match as a revenge game due to the 2-0 in the FIBA Asia Qualifiers. Kulang na lang sa kanila is the guy from Davidson, Lee Hyun Jung. Meanwhile we are missing Ildefonso, Kouame (nobody could guard Ratliffe), and Kai. We are more than fine under Nenad.

I wonder if those jitters have made Daegu rethink their decision.

Geo Chiu having mobility is already a plus. He was slower than this in FIBA Asia.

Tab's team still has better defense, the college boys actually all closed out that game. Nenad's team might be more talented but Tab's team was more disciplined.
