Philippines Cadet/Developmental Team

The cadets overcame a badly officiated game.
They fought a veteran Thai team.

It is the first time they were tested.
Let us just be happy they won.

Im taking back my words on Rosario. Im sure he will make the gilas pool but i hope he can make it to final 12.
He need to improve his mid range shot though. He wont get that much opportunity inside the paint in the Asia level.

tab like those zaid abbas and ali zaghab type of players.. thath why japeth, troy and raymond can be shoo ins in the pool

if Kiefer only played decent defense, he didn't have to pull that hail mary. so still a negative performance for me. haha

Troy mah boy Rosario!!! hope he goes to my Alaska. haha. i love his game, hardworker, rugged, doesn't back down, good bball IQ, athletic (those dunks deeym! specially the fastbreak one) and has a soft touch from the perimeter.

Agree with this bro. Keifer could not stop the drives and even fast breaks of his man. But we also have to give credit in his mental toughness. It takes some HUGE guts to shoot that last three.

Trial by fire, indeed.

I think if all our ASEAN neighbors will play with their best teams at every regional meet, then the games can be more exciting and competitive. Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia has their own domestic leagues, which explains why they are skilled and tougher to beat. Singapore is dead serious to be competitive, Vietnam may also do the same. This year's Cambodian basketball team might be the most competitive in their history.

Troy rosario is gilas 3.0 ready! in my opinion he's better than almasan, belga, jwash even japeth (but we need japeth in the team though he has the x-factor/athletism );) he will learn alot from RDO and pingris they can guide him. he is our future!

They should join jones cup if they want to be better..

Back to the future?

Come' on! Alaska will not do that if (only if) they pick Troy. This new Gilas leadership is far different from the one we had last year.
Just my 2 cents.

I'm sure Troy will have that gold on his head during this upcoming PBA draft (1st or 2nd pick is the most possible for troy).

did I hear it right? they allowed thais to have more than 15 in the roster so they can hide their players vs ph?

If Singapore wants to face Cadets in the finals, they must do a cadets like comeback..

For Singapore: National service stands in the way of continous training. It is very rare that they allow an athlete to defer National Service. Govt does not need sports to distract its citizens.

Oh really? You know how vicious politics in Philippine sports could be.

All we had here is just rumors, hear says, according to, bla bla bla & etc. We really don't know what happened during meetings. and again this is just my opinion.

We have a new sets of coaches, this is a different story unlike before, chot is more on mouth watering bla bla bla. Tab is more on diplomatic type.

Is that directed at me? Well the Singaporeans said that the Thais played ridiculously well against us and did not recall some of their players playing when the Thais went up against Singapore

Is it the same as SK though? SK gives athletes a break from national service for the FIBA events.

no Jasper. The tv was on but I was doing something else. I think I heard Escobar said there used to be a 15 player limit but this time they allowed the thais to have more players. Im not sure though if I heard it right. Thats why I asked here if someone can confirm

The time I win the lottery is the time when Alaska lends all its players requested by Tab.

i think they are the same Thai players who went up against Singapore. notable players were 69,99,7,12,13,6,15,73. same players who did damage against us.
