This was an away game in the truest sense.

Refs were against us, the system we were using went against us for the 1st half, Thailand hid their players until they could play us, etc.

This is not your ordinary collegiate team. All of the players are PBA-ready and could have been pros by August, if they opt to. The Thai really made a commendable effort to test the future of Philippine basketball.

its really aint that bad..aint that good.. those threes save our asses..its better that game winners and game clinchers imo because human psycholgy says that we really like to hit game winning game clincher shots but hitting threes when chasing leads..
 
Even if Indonesia is the better team, it would be herculean for them to win these game against the hosts..

Is it safe to say that Vosotros is the JV Casio of these batch of our amateur national team?
 
Where's the poster who said that since we're the strongest bball country in SEA, we have a duty to help our neighbors? Watching how our boys were playing against at least 7 men on the floor just made that suggestion look dumb

Lots of phantom calls which got us out of our rhythm. Good thing we were able to rise above the challenge. Expect more of those if we face the home team tomorrow.

They should pound the post. Gunawans, Pratama, and Sitepu will outplay the Singaporean big boys. And Wisnu the Indonesian Arboleda can post up against the SG guards. Indonesia gave up a lot of shooting when they did not call up Faisal Achmad and Prihantono so the post is their advantage in this tourney. I root for Singapore though only so we can see Indonesia and Thailand duke it out for the bronze :)

OT: I pick Indonesia over Singapore, simply because the Indons are made up of battle-tested veteran pro ballers. Singapore, despite also having pros (ABL team), does not have that experience. At the end of the 1st, Indons lead by 7, 24-17.
 
if Kiefer only played decent defense, he didn't have to pull that hail mary. so still a negative performance for me. haha

Troy mah boy Rosario!!! hope he goes to my Alaska. haha. i love his game, hardworker, rugged, doesn't back down, good bball IQ, athletic (those dunks deeym! specially the fastbreak one) and has a soft touch from the perimeter.

I don't think Singapore would resort to cheating in Sports. If someone from its contingent did, Singapore will punish that person.

Do not send him to Alaska. Gilas will never utilize his full potential if he goes there.
 
The cadets overcame a badly officiated game.
They fought a veteran Thai team.

It is the first time they were tested.
Let us just be happy they won.

Im taking back my words on Rosario. Im sure he will make the gilas pool but i hope he can make it to final 12.
He need to improve his mid range shot though. He wont get that much opportunity inside the paint in the Asia level.
