Philippines Cadet/Developmental Team

Wow what a game! troy rosario is good he should be in gilas 3! kudos to vosotros and kiefer!

khobuntin made some key plays in the 2nd quarter when everthing was not working. Cadets where out of sync, overpassing etc. He came in and was in attack mode right away and got some free throws and key rebounds

Kiefer struggled with his shooting but he got Vosotres open shots

I hope Ferrer continues to develop the corner 3. He's pretty good at it at practice. He's the closest thing to Norwood of all the pure pinoy players. Tall long and annoying. Can defend multiple positions

lol thank you for being frank.. but luckily even with these close we controlled the game in the end imo by having much margin of error compare to thailand..

Good win we see why Khobuntin and Vostors can be good pro players as given na si Kiefer and Troy..

Vosotros didn't seem to care anymore. Whenever he got the ball he fired away. And Troy was on his poker face the whole time [His game poise is amazing]. Very good contrast with Khobuntin hahaha

are we being rickrolled after the win? no other choice of music aside from never gonna give you up?

WTF! How did Thailand able to almost snatch the game to us?

Simple. I think this is a case of men vs boys. Our boys might be more skilled and talented, but the thais are professional athletes and men in their own right. I have always treated thailand, malaysia and indonesia to be the best asean basketball countries outside the Philippines due to presence of a domestic league.

Vosotros is feeling it..

Why khobuntin got thrown out? lol bum refs!

thais were sneaky on their cheap shots. He was punched by bigote tsk tsk

I also remember when one of the thais got blocked, he proceeded to hit the shot blocker in the face. Even Escobar noticed it

Ravena 2/6 3pt FG - Okay clip, but at least he made the shots when it was needed the most.

VosoTRES 6/11 3pt FG - Man's on FIRE!

Rosario 11/16 2pt FG

HERCULES! HERCULES! HERCULES!

6/11 stat is a very misleading stat on how efficient Almond threes are..

I'm just all too happy that we had Vosotros and Troy. IMHO, without these two Thailand would've won this game and would have had bragging rights till next our meeting--despite being hugely aided by the stripes on this one!

Honorable mention goes to able grads from trial by fire; Khobuntin and Ferrer... the rest maybe a little less on Marcus, played without urgency, especially Kiefer who played poosy defense and zero care for valued ball possessions, his last basket, AFAIC, doesn't abstain him from his overall, almost game-long poor play, especially down the stretch, though to be fair, he had good moments there in the first half before fouls forced TAB to sit him till lemon time.

Lastly, TAB's college style basketball needs a lot of seasoning to get at a masterful level, otherwise the consequence, over passing, leads to a lot of gimme baskets to the opponents and equally, many lost scoring opportunities.

In the end, what bailed us out is our Filipino brand of "true grit", street-ball... our unique edge, even evident on the world stage... Big kudos to TAB, had it not been him out there, I am almost certain that a Chot-style monstrous fold-up would have been quite a consensus outcome.

Thank You, coach TAB!

Now he is quite enlightened that Gilas Pilipinas may very well be stuck to only likely to succeed with our very own, Filipino brand of basketball. Of course, with structure and pattern emanating from DDO.
