Well, Bongbong enjoys a majority preference in the latest PulseAsia survey. 53%. Well, I dunno.

Combination of factors as to the Marcoses' popularity. Same old elite took over the Philippines after EDSA, and only resolidified their power, and actually let the Marcoses back. And then, our Martial Law education is not as strong as say, Germany's Holocaust education.

While DDS & Marcos loyalist would categorized the "Dilawans" as elitists, these same dumb people coveniently ignore the fact that BBM & the Marcoses are elitists as well. These dumb people conveniently ignore or forget how Imelda lived a lavished & luxurious life specially during their reign in the Philippines.

Galit ang mga tangang ito sa mga oligarch & elitista but don't realize that the Marcoses & families/clans allied to them are elitists & oligarch. Look who are allied with BBM & inday Sara right now? The Macapagal-Arroyos, the Estradas/Ejercitos, & the majority of the most powerful political clans & dynasties in the Philippines. And these BBM & Inday Sara supporters think that they are going to bring about big changes in Philippines governance.

I say same old same old yan. Its just a cycle. Yung mga corrupt & abusado eh mananatili pa rin sa Philippine politics.

Well, BBM loyalist would reason out that the Bongbong Marcos that Ferdinand, Sr. was referring to was the Bongbong Marcos almost 4 decades ago. They would say, much have changed on Bongbong for the better after more than 30 years since then.

30 years later, and Ilocos Norte still ain't that prosperous. Under Marcos leadership, no less.

And a lot of Marcos and Digong supporters belong to class ABC.

Atty. Larry Gadon has been preventively suspended by the Supreme Court for his video recorded verbal attack on Raissa Robles. He's been ordered to tell the Court why he should not be disbarred.

Gadon, on the other hand, says that the suspension is "politically motivated," and that he was denied due process, because it was published by the media before the suspension order was furnished to him.

Can't really comment much, as I haven't taken up legal ethics yet.

I hope they bring back Philippine History. I just watched a Video on youtube. And they said Jose Rizal Faked his Death, and he became Father Jose Antonio Diaz. The Lawyer of Marcos in the Tallano Gold Case. He died at aged 113.

These goddamn conspiracy theorists.

The problem is, history's just taught as a memorization of facts. It should be told as a story, and there should be full contextualization of why the historical figures thought that way, or why this event happened.

A political analysts said other candidates have not been challenging the way presidential aspirant and former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and his running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio are presenting themselves to the public. https://bit.ly/34n5qjz | via ONE News

What's next? That Adolf Hitler's real intention was actually noble which is essential for a sustainable world peace & stability? And some of these dumb, irrational & foolish people would easily believe this.

Dumbness & stupidity at its worst. No wonder this country is going nowhere. Majority of its citizens are dumb. If there's one thing I'm ashamed of being a Filipino, this is it.

Filipinos are dumb because the leaders want it that way. We have a relatively low budget for education, even if it has the highest percentage. You can't manipulate a smart electorate, and you can't get away with all that crap either.

^ ^ ^ ^ ^

Mass "kabobohan" & "katangahan" make political dynasties stay.

Who are in power reflects what kind of electors a country have. No wonder why we have so many times elected a Senator whose platform of governance is sumayaw ng "Budots".

Dep Ed removed Philippines History in the K12 system that's why some of our youth believe in the lies, deceit, and revisionism of the Marcos family.

And history ain't the favorite subject of many Filipinos.

I remember the time when someone asked why Apolinario Mabini doesn't stand. That was when Heneral Luna was showing.

Lists of Official Candidates for President and Vice President. They officially removed Rasta man and the "elder half sister" of BBM.

Bongbong's now having preliminary hearings on his disqualification cases. Thing is, he was a no-show, for which Commissioner Guanzon reprimanded him. Another thing is, Bongbong's legal team have 48 hours to make a position paper, as Commissioner Guanzon denied their request for a 15-day extension.

Oh, crap. Elections in trouble.

"BREAKING: A group of hackers were allegedly able to breach the servers of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) last Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, downloading data that could possibly affect the upcoming elections, the Manila Bulletin reported on Monday.

Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez on Monday told Manila Bulletin that he has yet to receive a response from the Comelec Steering Committee regarding the findings of the publishing firm's Technews team.

Manila Bulletin's Technews team said it received information from a "source" on Saturday that there was an ongoing hack of the poll body's servers.

Jimenez was initially informed by the firm's Technews team after they confirmed the ongoing hack.

According to the report, the hackers’ group managed to breach the system of the Comelec and downloaded more than 60 gigabytes of files that included usernames, PINS of vote-counting machines (VCM), network diagrams, IP addresses, list of all privileged users, domain admin credentials, list of all passwords and domain policies, access to the ballot handling dashboard, and QR code captures of the bureau of canvassers with login and password.

Well, Bongbong's had one case dismissed for failure to show material misrepresentation that he was not convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude, which is a ground for disqualification.

The troubling part of the COMELEC's rationale is that since the CA removed the prison sentence, the perpetual disqualification from running for public office is also removed. However, that only applies in the RPC provisions and convictions. In the RPC kasi, you have the prison sentence and the accessory penalty. The accessory penalty attaches upon the sentence, not just the conviction. For examplez if you're sentenced for murder, which carries with it the penalties of reclusión temporal to death (now just 40 years if reclusión temporal), you also get an accessory penalty of perpetual absolute disqualification, which is basically, you can't vote or hold public office.

However, under the Tax Code, violations of which was where Bongbong was found guilty, the penalty attaches upon conviction.

The relevant provision is Art. 277 of the 1977 Tax Code.Pero, 1977 Tax Code says as follows: If the tax offender is a public officer or employee, the maximum penalty prescribed for the offense shall be imposed and, in addition, he shall be dismissed from the public service and perpetually disqualified from holding any public office, to vote and to participate in any election.

In this provision, the penalty of disqualification from public office attaches upon conviction, not upon the imposition of the imprisonment penalty. So you can't say that Bongbong can't be disqualified just because the sentence was removed. The conviction was still retained.

Senator Bongbong Marcos failed to attend the Presidential Interview last night.

It's a risk. He already has the numbers. Attending the interview might make him lose.

He will attend an ABS-CBN interview hosted by Boy Abunda, though. Ironic, considering his supporters call ABS-CBN biased.

Here's some Bongbong highlights:

1. When asked what his definition of "biased" was, he said "anti-Marcos."

2. He won't release his SALN if elected president, as it might be used for political agenda.
