Honestly, I feel bad for Mar Roxas. Prior to Cory’s death, he was the leading frontrunner for the presidency in 2010. He essentially gave up the presidency out of respect for Cory and his close friend, Noynoy. In a way, Noynoy’s blunders from the hostage situation, SAF, dengvaxia, train, Yolanda, etc., ruined Mar’s presidencial aspirations in 2016. The fact that the LP did not have a single senator who won in 2019 shows how weak their party is right now. It also showed why, quote unquote, Leni is running as an "independent" and rebranded even if she is the LP Chairman. Ironically, I believe Noynoy, not Mar, was ultimately responsible for LP's demise.

It would have been a lot worse had Mar Roxas been our President. I mean those issues of sub-standard housing projects of Yolanda victims, the overpriced PNP patrol cars, etc. Makes me wonder, why walang Senate investigation sa mga gayong issues?

Yeah, coming from a Yolanda survivor (I was in Ormoc at the time), the sub-housing that they provided for those who were unfortunate was terrible. I was fortunate that my family was comfortable, so the damage to our home was not as bad as others. The housing projects up close were a slight upgrade to a poultry house or dog house to be honest, and what's worse is that the prices were ridiculously high. Mar did a terrible job, but I do think that he was just a scapegoat. In the end, the responsibility falls to Noynoy, same with the DOH fiasco on the coronavirus the responsibility falls to Duterte.

So do you believe that Marcos never stole public money becoz for the record, he was not convicted of any graft charges? This despite of marcos massive unexplained wealth which he amassed during his presidency. We are aware how crooked our justice system is. We are all aware how powerful & influencial the Marcoses are even after ferdinand marcos' exile. Marcoses has even gotten stronger now with Bobong almost winning the vice-presidential race & Imee elected as senator. We all know how easy our judges & justices can be bribed, specially by somebody like the Marcoses who have bottomless pockets.

Bro, wake up. You're being blinded by your biases. Your rationale & discernment are obviously impaired by your biases.

The Supreme Court ruled on this issue THRICE. All the judgments, which declared that their paintings, Swiss accounts, etc. are ill-gotten wealth, since then have been final. Even the friggin' Sandiganbayan.

Sige, not convicted. But it's still ill-gotten.

I backread the posts you were replying to, and it fucking hurt my head.

That's how easy even some intelligent individuals could be deceived.

I'm convinced most posters here naman are intelligent enough. But as they say, intelligence & rationale are two different things. No wonder a lot of intelligent individuals would be voting for Bongbong & are convinced that Ferdinand Marcos was a good President.:confused::confused::confused:

If given a choice between intelligence & rationale, I'll go for the latter hands down.

Nah.. He's running because he is Duterte's puppet.. They will convince Sarah Du30 to run until November as replacement.. Napanood ko na to...

Sara took Bong Go's place, not Bato's.

Marcos-Duterte seems likely. I only hope that history won't be revised if they win.

Bongbong surely would. That's the main reason for his candidacy as President. Let's expect that once Bongbong enters Malacanang, his first agenda would be on how to twist everything about his father. Expect Bongbong & his followers to trumpet to the entire country & even to the whole world that his father is the best President this country ever had.

I imagine Keiko Fujimori would have done that once she won in Peru. She NARROWLY lost the presidential election. That's big, considering that her father Alberto was the Marcos of Peru.

I hope the history departments here hold steadfast. I know the UP Department of History will, as well as Ateneo and La Salle. Even the friggin' Supreme Court recognized it through people like CJ Puno, and the Marcos forfeiture cases.

Speaking of kids of former dictators, Gaddafi's son is running for President of Libya. Oh, man.

It took more than 3 decades since Ferdinand Marcos' ouster as Phi President before his son attempts to succeed the former. With Muammar Gaddafi, it took only a decade after his ouster & death before his son attempts to continue the tradition of evil governance. It only means one thing - Libyans are much more stupid than Filipinos.

Well, this depends if Gaddafi Jr. wins. Let's see about that.

Civil war time with Digong calling Bongbong a communist, and now accusing Bongbong of doing cocaine. Hahahahahahahaha.

I'm laughing so hard right now at this comedy show.

Laglagan na ba?

U bet each side would be throwing lots of shit against each other. Well, each side naman has a lot of shit to throw:cool:

Maybe someday, Bongbong would retaliate by saying, "Its still a lot better being a drug addict than a mass murderer".

The only good thing about this "showdown" is that, whatever shit each side says about the other side, it is probably true:cool:

Duterte: "Mandarambong ang tatay mo!"

Bongbong: "Kung mandarambong ang tatay ko, eh bakit pumayag kang ilibing sya sa Libingan ng mga Bayani?"

Now Digong's calling Bongbong straight up a "weak leader" because the latter's a spoiled child. The comedy show just got serious.

Still, even with Digong's tirades, Bongbong still leads the surveys by a mile.

However, there are areas where the Marcoses ain't that popular. MIMAROPA, Batangas, Quezon, Bicol, Visayas (except for Leyte and probably Samar), and parts of Mindanao. In many of these areas, the Marcoses have had history. I only hope the people don't forget.

Well, Bongbong-Sara ticket has the approval of the Arroyo and Estrada camps.

Well, Phi politics is a never ending cycle of crooked & stinky politics. Paikot-ikot lang naman yan but its not heading towards betterment, instead its headed for worse.

Du30's slogan, "Change is coming" is no more than just a slogan. How can change be achieved when the political clans allied with you are the very same politicians who have ravaged the country with corruption/plunder?

If people think that the country is headed towards betterment with Bongbong Marcos as president, they are just fooling themselves.

I wonder what offer Bongbong & Inday Sara made in exchange for Gloria labandera's support? Speakership at the House? How about for Erap? Manila mayorship?

Phi politics is not headed for the better. Its headed for the worst.

And now they have Jinggoy running as senator under their slate. That's nice.

The hugpong party was created with help of pmp. Lol Erap wouldnt return to become mayor contrary on people have perceived isko moreno just used erap to beat lim as he was deemed unbeatable by isko back then and when Erap is old and incoherent enough to do everyday duties thats when isko stepped in.. ( in his desire to have a national position he seems to be fooled by erap to run for a senate seat instead, thats not true. Isko wanted to introduce himself to national audience and be known as Domagoso insread of Moreno as his surname..

But jinggoy really was an ahole the father used his power to get payolas on illegal activities like jueteng et. Al and favors for his tycoons ( hi MVP, Danding Atong Ang and Lucio Tan) but never mess direct to government funds.. the sob did hahah and sadly the so called "good one" isnt good enough also
