yes, it looks like the only loser is global port...i am not thrilled about a miller-david back court. they could have gotten someone else, casio is at least equal to a chris ellis.

So Casio and LA are same value.. as Noli would have no problem in trading Dondon who will be become Lordy 2.0 anyway with Petron..
And Global Port wanted to pay for one player only:D

Backcourt needs some work though. Seems like Alvarez and Monfort have good chances getting minutes! :D

Ginebra is the clear winner on this. (player wise and marketing wise)

1. They got LA, for whom? Enrico.. lolers
2. They will let LA play for Smart Gilas - papogi points for kabarangay

LA is the talk of the town, when was the last time a player from PBA got interviewed when he was traded to another team?

too many trades do the players still know which team to practice for.... gonna be embarrassing for someone to show up in their practice and be told "hoy pare na trade ka na." haha

Many fans also seems lost when they watch the PBA on tv and at the venue!

i believe this has happened before but not sure exactly who the player is.

Very true.Dati nga when W.Miller was with ginebra my brother will ask when pa nasa ginebra si Miller coz the last time daw alaska c miller.Global port will be miller 6th PBA team na.

sama naman ng agent nya! he he..trans:bad agent

you cannot blame the agent, a number of times even the team managers and head coaches does not know their players are getting traded as it is Top Management decision.

Don't you remember the time Jaworski and Arnaiz said "Hindi kami karne na por kilo" about the controversial sale of Toyota to Beer Hausen where the players were not consulted by management. Or just recently, when Powerade was sold to Global wherein the players and coaching staff were all left in the dark.

Remember in a lot of trades if not initiated by the player, the agent has no control about it.

Like the case of Ronjay Buenafe, he was busy practicing with Rain Or Shine when right after lunchtime the top honchos of ROS and Meralco reached a final agreement about the deal, then Ronjay and his agent were informed about the trade after team practice.

Unlike before when players do stay in one team, nowadays teams does not take in consideration anymore about team loyalty. Now you are as good only as long as you are needed, if they can get somebody or something of value in return, the team does not take account about past good deeds you've done as what's important is the team's future.

Which of course is the right thing to do if your running a franchise. Being sentimental/emotionally attached will not win you a title especially if it's with a player you don't see in the team anymore.

yeah winning is important but you have to make a balance not all the time you win championships you can have at most 3 na nga in PBA but anybody can be a winner in life.. Buddy Encarnado showed it in his tenure in Stalu imo.. and I don't think trading Buenafe is not the baddest thing at all as he will not get a chunk of playing time because Chris Tiu came and Meralco showed interest that makes Ronjay felt being important..

They are not "fans" then..."fans" are updated with the movement in their teams...those who will be lost are the regular people on the streets who also don't know who the secretaries of the different government institutions are...

Any update about Taulava's team this coming conference ?

as per his agent, they feel disrespected with the kind of offer they were given. so they'll probably go where they are wanted and given importance. It looks Asi would be headed overseas, inqueries were done by ABL and China's CBA teams.

Same thing with Eric Menk. A number of PBA Players are complaining, the teams are "binabarat kami" with some even taking away benefits previously granted in their previous contract.

Does the players have the right to complain or are the teams just being wise this time around ..... we'll see in the next few months.

Menk is done while Taulava is still serviceable. Hopefully the true is latter in your last line-- you want these GMs to be wiser moving forward :)

Also, rumors say that Taulava is going to Ginebra. How big is that? As mentioned, Taulava is still quite effective, and going to a team like Ginebra which lacks a legit big man, he might just be a perfect fit there.
