I think Converge already set even they lose in Troy sweepstakes.. they have Javillonar, Baltazar and Ben Phillips in their roster.. better to develop those players than raging towards recruitment on Troy... Troy meanwhile, he has to take consequences, Look at Jeron Teng, Vic Manuel, Jackson Corpuz, etc... !!! They pick SMC group due to higher salary but they suffered decreasing their value as assets.. now they are both possible going to MPBL after their confidence lost due to benching.. One conference or two that his game drop and his value will go downwards same as Teng...

I think troy will be ok, he’ll inherit Japeth’s position, plus he can shoot and pass

unlike teng and manuel, undersized and cant shoot, cant even play them next to JMF

I think all Troy needs to be for Ginebra is serviceable, not really provide star-level production. Besides, he's 32, and his production throughout his career hasn't been that eye-popping.

I will say though that his defense against JB this past conference was the best defense I've seen him play. TNT should have focused more on that aspect of his game, as well as his motor. I think TNT neglected that part of his game (which unfortunately carried over to Gilas, especially in his later games).

Teng is an overrated overpaid guy. He does not have a single high level skill. He is a decent player but he gets paid too much. The guy has been living off his college accomplishments. Just by his skills alone and minus his popularity do you honestly think that he would've gotten the salary he has gotten so far in the PBA?

To be fair, in his Converge days he was averaging 12.9 pts, 5.6 rebs. 2.1 assist and 31% in 3pts shooting. 14.2 PER. Which is a First five stats

troy will be a glue guy for bgsm similar to JDV’s role, and the star -level production will come from Holt. Too bad Malonzo is always injured he could be that guy also beign a athletic freak

Let's see.. remember onwubere? He had career games in Northport but was benched by Ginebra.. if troy continues to be inconsistent even in ginebra, he will likely get same fate as onwubere...

If I'm Converge I would offer their 2026 1st round pick for the rights of Mikey Williams but if SMC comes up with a package of players and draft picks from their farm teams I wouldn't engage them a bidding war. I wouldn't overbid for a 33 year old player who is known to have mood issues. And if ever they secure his rights I guess if they were willing to shell out 1.2 million a month for Troy Rosario that same amount could convince Mikey to sign with them.

Any team manager who would want a headcase in his team should be fired. Mikey Williams is no Michael Jordan.

Tiongson seems washed to me as well, idunno why wont SMB pull the trigger on Carino and stop dancing around guys like Go and Cahilig so he can be considered for Gilas

Just get Will navarro while theyre at it.

Yeah, i dont get this trade at all SMB could have harvested those assets from Northporth, Tiongson not necessarily that much of an upgrade (at least he’s healthy)

On the other side, Christian Standhardinger is no longer part of Terrafirma’s lineup.

Standhardinger has been out since September 8 due to a persistent injury and his contract with the Dyip is set to expire later this month.

Now in his seventh season in the league, the Filipino-German will become an unrestricted free agent on December 1.

‐-------------------------

Now TNT can get CStan for free?

Someone should go to court and a file a case against the PBA. That horrible rule of 7 years before becoming a UFA is unconstitutional and violates existing labor laws.

I heard with Quinito and with Snow Badua podcast that Cstand will remain Restricted.. since UFA batch are still 2014 and 2015 batch, 2016 will be next year except Wright...

Is that the same rule on the NBA, 3 years rookie contract, then 4 year extension. Only time you can play with another team is you sign a
qualifying offer and your current team will not much it. But if current match the offer,
they keep you for total of 7 years before you are a UFA

it was borderline master-slave relationship between teams and players before the unrestricted free agent rule came out. now it's just being a slave for 7 years instead of your whole career

What's going on between Cstand and Dyip? Why Terrafirma will file a case? Cstand wants retirement.. respect his decision... It's same situation with James Yap as he has existing contract with blackwater until February but he decided to retire.. Did Blackwater sue him? It's Dyip who has problems with the league... They are a joke team...

From what i understood on the reports, it was Marcial who insinuated that Terrafirma can file a case against Cstan if they want regarding Cstan sitting out the rest of the year. What Terrafirma can realistically do is provide an offer before Cstan's contract ends by Dec 31 to retain his rights. What will most likely happen is Terrafirma letting Cstan's contract expire and letting him be a UFA come 2025.
