Philippine PBA Trades, Releases, Sign-ups, Rumours (vol. III)

Gives PBA teams some guidelines on how to build lineups, devise offensive systems and defensive schemes. It will help increase the level of play here, and it might help Gilas as a whole.

having a quality guest team that will probably use 2 imports will help.. glad PBA is open for having 2 imports..

so One Sports Ph finally streamed pba games in youtube without geo-block,or the admin just forgot to make it exclusively for Philippine audience, as i was able to watched the game last friday without using VPN

I think Dwight had a quantum leap when he trained with Gilas and Ateneo. I dont think he was that athletic nor was he as good before. Its improbable that he wouldnt have played if he were that good to begin with. Dwight wowed a lot of coaches when he debuted for Gilas. Raijko said he played like a Euro guard. It would be improbable that he was already that good but was rarely played. Its more probable that the confidence and training in Gilas helped him reach another level.

In high school, Dwight was recruited by Mater Dei, a known producer of NBA players and countless high D1s. Moved to another HS but still managed to get multiple D1 offers. He was highly regarded pre-college. If we're going to look at it with current time lens...he had much more buzz in the US than Bayla right now, and was a much better player coming out of high school. Social media hype buzz just makes players look better now.

He did not make a quantum leap in terms of Asian standards when he went local. Of course he was still young and developing when he arrived so there would be improvement. He had much better opportunities to play here and he took advantage, but the point is the low usage rate in D1 did not stunt his growth just like how nba/gleague no-name benchwarmers still tear up the PBA. Levels to this.

Pba rejects the nambatac-montalbo trade, me thinks bwb will get more f*cked up after the league revise the trade

Nambatac for peanuts. He's erratic, but he's a good support guy at his best.

It should be... Stats wise, It's very lopsided... TNT has to give another good player to balance the trade... If i were TNT, if Parks decides to return to the PBA, I will include him in a trade to get Nambatac plus BWB's 2nd pick (We all know BWB's pick will go to TNT anyway)... Atleast Parks value will balance the trade offer... And if Ginebra wants Parks then they can negotiate to BWB now.. Since TNT will unlikely go to transaction to any SMC teams for Parks w/o good value...

The owner has the gall to ask for a dispersal draft then accepts this trade. You can't really accept what owners say at face value. There should be a way for multiple owners to own a team. It seems a PBA team is too expensive for one company.

Those farm teams are the reason why PBA’s value at all time low.. they kill the league with those lopsided transactions

Word is Choke is reluctant to give up a first round pick to get the Nambatac deal done, and if it was a 1st rd pick in the initial proposal it would have been immediately approved by the PBA league office. TNT is also reluctant to include another player and are angling towards adding another 2nd rd pick hoping they will get that trade approval. And Choke still wants to secure Chrisitian David, talk about gutting Blackwater's team even Rosario is a good as gone once his contract is up.

that’s why you have NLEX, a confusing 3 team trade will get things done

Ginawang return to sender amp. I doubt they will let go of Parks that instant. They (Blackwater) do not have any player that has equal value as Parks. Even Nambatac. And this draft is going to be shallow unless the Korea and the Japan based players will return.

If they want to have fair trade (As per commissioners office), But i don't see it happening... Commissioner is a laughing stock... He just there just to take signature and nothing else...

Who has declared for the pba draft? Is there an initial list?

Those who are confirmed to join the draft so far are:
Jerom Lastimosa
Evan Nelle
Will Gozum
Brandon Ramirez
CJ Payawal
Caelen Tiongson
Ben Phillips
LJ Gonzales
Mark Nonoy
Ace Sandagon
DJ Mitchell
Ava Nava
Kurt Reyson
Miggy Corteza
Joaquin Manuel
Francis Escandor
CJ Cansino

Most likely Baltazar will join since Converge has tanked to secure him in the upcoming draft. And then there lesser known names coming from the MPBL but there are also some Fil Ams rumored to be interested in joining the draft who have yet to formally apply (CJ Lane, Taylor Statham and Lawrence Domingo)

If you wanna get role players, this is the draft.

Gozum is injured right? Hopefully there’s a bleague guy who will join the draft or a surprise big name. How about kobe paras and barefield? Baltazar will be locked in for the first pick.
