If Kume Marcial read our post here, he will get idea from us to revive the league to be popular again…

They use to have the dlsu vs admu alumni all star gane, didnt generate any interest whatsoever, seems like the rivalry is only relevant within the uaap
 
Although it's amusing, pba players hooking up with famous celebs/socmed influencers to generate more interest doesn't really do anything to improve the quality of basketball being played.

I think players hooking up with tall & athletic women is more beneficial. Kai, Dwight and recently Alter having tall volleyball player girlfriends gives them potentially promising children athletes. Tall mothers are more of a factor in children's heights.

PBA should lure Dwight Ramos out of Japan! Anyway feels like we dont have pba players who carry themselves like a celebrity like a James Yap or a Alvin Patrimonio, curent crop of superstars no longer have that rabid fandom

Then tell Kobe Paras to join PBA… I think it’s time now for Kobe to join PBA… don’t waste his talents… he can earn more in PBA than just being sideline model…

yes if Ricci and KFC are still together PBA can somehow be catered to non basketball fan due to KFC's influence, PBA should really work with famous influencers in the Philippines, one thing that makes volleyball players marketable is due to their strong social media presence, tbh there are few volleyball plays that are really good looking , btw i don't if it's Fifi or just a look-alike but i saw some videos online

There is rumors that Ray Parks will be back in the PBA.. so if it is true then Zeinab and her followers will watch Ray Parks PBA games…. I can’t blame Parks if he returns here… He can’t leave his partner… It seems Zeinab is very careful with Parks…

as much as I am lukewarm about this new advent called socmed, I think the Grandpas had no other choice but to adhere or bite what is the latest thing or platform that could entice the new gen of fans to watch the game live.

items about PBA players having some "unli pop" things with celebrities are not new actually.

adventurism is all part of the trade even in other professional leagues like the NBA who also had it's own history of "Let's get it on" amongst it's players past and present.

but first thing first, they really need to address that parity issue that's bugging the league if they are really serious about ratings and live audiences.

then remove that so-called salary cap thing, it's just part of the media fanfare, " di naman talaga nasusunod yan eh. trans. who's fooling who?
 
if the pba can't evolve with the times, then it needs to die and have another league replace it

If those bigs are playing as power forwards more than centers, that is. Ideally, the team they go to has a center, like a June Mar, a Japeth, Laput, or even the likes of Belga and Justin Arana. If our bigs do play the 5, ideally it's in a small ball capacity, as in more mobile. Otherwise, there's the risk that our bigs' development will be less geared towards FIBA play, and limits their upside there as a result.

True. Not all development is equal. People still don't understand there are levels to this.

Dwight rotted on the bench in D1, it didn't affect his quality in terms of asian level.

There can be instances where a player losing interest comes into play, but if that's the case, then that shows the player doesn't really have the resilience gene required to succeed. In general, a player at a higher level who doesn't get playing time does not necessarily mean he is stagnating compared to lower levels.

Players need to always play up while still young and developing (and get the biggest bag possible).

Parks rumored return is not about money anymore... This is the same case w/ Bolick, Japeth, Pogoy and Rosario... If you love your partner (wife or GF), You will sacrifice whatever opportunity you have just to be w/ her... Parks already earned big money w/ his 3 year B League stint... That's why if you are young prospect, Grab the opportunity while it's hot....

I think Dwight had a quantum leap when he trained with Gilas and Ateneo. I dont think he was that athletic nor was he as good before. Its improbable that he wouldnt have played if he were that good to begin with. Dwight wowed a lot of coaches when he debuted for Gilas. Raijko said he played like a Euro guard. It would be improbable that he was already that good but was rarely played. Its more probable that the confidence and training in Gilas helped him reach another level.
