and if ever SBP should give moon williams the blessings to play in taiwan..
Yep, Mikey's done with TNT. Chot said it himself: https://x.com/reubensports/status/1723340011901456567?s=20
TNT are exploring trade option, since they still hold his rights. But given their conduct in the negotiations, expect lowball offers from other teams.
Medyo off ako doon sa sinabi niya na si Coach Jolas naghahandle ng negotiations wherein kakasabi lang ni Coach Jolas i think last Friday na si Coach Chot na nag hahandle. May miscommunication ba or wala lang talaga actions ang TNT when it comes to the demands?
tnt/mpic sucks at negotiations
tnt/mpic sucks at negotiations
tnt/mpic sucks at negotiations
tnt/mpic sucks at negotiations
I think this dates back to during Romeo’s and Cruz’s stint with TNT and even BRP’s. So who is the person to blame with all these troubles? I don’t think Chot should be the person to blame since he was reinstated during the pandemic if i remember if correctly.
i dont recall SMC airing out their dirty laundry regarding player negotiations (i.e. Greg and Bolick), Yes SMC also lowballs its players but they are not as toxic as MPIC
Even the higher ups in the MVP camp (MVP himself and Ricky Vargas) are talking bad against their players under negotiation in public. That's very unprofessional to me.
converge just got smaller
Maybe partly because of management, partly because of the coach, but as I've said before, not a fan of their lineup construction, especially in the 3, 4, and 5 spots. It's the main reason why I'm a bit hesitant of Ayo as NT head coach. His lineups might be too small for the international stage.
Good plays is one thing, but you need to construct a lineup properly.

"Mikey is ready to play. He wants to play," his camp told SPIN.ph.
So, why the change of heart after months of supposedly not responding to several attempts by his team to communicate with him?
A source familiar to what has been an interminable impasse has, rightly or wrongly, blamed TNT team manager and current interim head coach Jojo Lastimosa's alleged refusal to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) when Mikey renewed his contract in 2021, a deal that allowed for a renegotiation.
NO NDA
Absent the NDA, Mikey's camp is in the belief that TNT leaked to the media the nocturnal activities that Williams may or may not have engaged in, plus other alleged infractions to include missed practices, that led to his suspension for a week without pay in 2022.
I sent a text message to Jolas seeking comment on the matter, but one of the PBA's all-time great players didn't respond. Which is understandable given that he has his hands full steering the Tropa in the ongoing Commissioner's Cup conference.
But that's all in the past now and with Reyes at the helm, Mikey's corner is open to ideas.
For the contract talks to rekindle, Mikey's camp suggests one thing for TNT to do.
"Give us a number. They haven't given us a number."
