Leo Austria & SMC people are the type of guys na for instance a team will offer a player as good as a Giannis Antetokounmpo for a trade, they would say, "Hindi namin pweding e trade sino man kina Junmar, CJ Perez, Lassiter or Tautuaa para dyan kasi napakahalaga nila sa team namin. Kung gusto nyo si James Sena or si Paul Zamar nalang e trade namin for Antetokounmpo."

Ganyan na ganyan ang sinabi ni Leo Austria during the CJ Perez trade. Kaya yung mga players na ipinamigay ng SMB for Perez eh mga basura.

They won 4 last conference and in fairness, Dyip MGR looked like the MGR of old. He was a passable point forward on some of their games.

It’s a fair trade IF Terrafirma were contending for championships and they need Cabagnot to get them over the hump. But we all know they’re not and on the contrary, they’re a perennial rebuilding team. It doesn’t make sense to get a player on the twilight of his career to form a core and vie for titles. Kung leadership lang naman habol nila to motivate the youngsters, sana si Coach Chot na lang kinuha nila.

Come on. TF is a farm team they will never contend fir a chsmpionship. But Alex is still a valuable trade chip for a contender. Over all pretty fair. Enciso is younger and has the slightly better stats but he has not yet shown he can be a contributor to a contender. Take note also Encisos minutes and usage rate is probably higher than Cabagnot. So he may not have the same stats with Cabagnots minutes.

Because they can. Matatawa kn lang sa comments online, brusko raw kapalit pasyente. Ambulansiya raw siguro sinakyan ni Art de la Cruz papuntang SMC camp. Hahaha Seriously though, they might add a pick or two to make this appear more balanced. This is standard practice for the SMC machinery—they float names to test the waters (fans’ reactions) and precondition our minds, then adjust a bit to make it appear they made some concessions.

I'll take this version of the trade anytime. For me, this is a fair trade considering its a trade between an SMC team & its bitch or farm team. You know what I mean

I think it was fair since SMB got younger and had another gunner in Enciso. Terrafirma, meanwhile, basically got rid of McCarthy (who wasn't even part of their rotation in Bacolor) for a seasoned VET in Cabagnot who will mentor the likes of Juami, Munzon etc. etc. given he will not be traded again.

Enciso - Cabagnot kinda fair for me because of the other reasons.. Enciso is younger but sometimes he's trigger happy w/ his shot selection.. medyo mababa IQ ni Enciso.. Even from his Alaska and TNT days of Enciso, he's inconsistent.. Cabagnot is older, But more reliable than Enciso in crucial situations...

Isn’t SMB a contender? Essentially you are saying Enciso is not a trade chip to a contender while Cabagnot is. What just transpired proves that is not the case.

They badly need someone like cabagnot who can teach them how to win. Alex can mentor these guys and still ball out. If there are no more trades, terrafirma can contend for a 6th spot in the playoffs

This is a very good argument if we didn’t know Terrafirma isn’t in the PBA to win. If they were, they wouldn’t be trading a player of Perez’ caliber for scrubs. I give Terrafirma the benefit of the doubt, but with the expected entry of quality Fil foreigners that’s potential gamechangers on the top (McKhinney, Brickman), I expect no more than a 10th place finish from them to secure one of those top picks.
