Brgy. Ginebra struggling in the ongoing Phi Cup is detrimental to the equally struggling league in this tough pandemic times. With the most popular PBA team sucking big time, less & less PBA fans would watch PBA games. How happy I am to see this. How happy I am to see an arrogant & greedy pro league struggling.
Hope this crisis would bring changes & I mean positive changes in the PBA which would be beneficial to the players, the national & Phi basketball as whole.
PBA can't go on with these shitty policies which erodes the integrity of basketball & are detrimental to Phi basketball. Long Hair, Leo Austria & SMC can't continue to throw more shit in the league & expect the fans to continue its strong support to the league.

This is why I wanted Ginebra to focus on getting young pieces through the draft, and developing the young pieces they do have. Age will catch up to them eventually. The only rotation players under 30 are Scottie (28), Aljon (29), Arvin Tolentino (26), and Caperal (29).

hosting the bubble is very expensive already and when they moved their bubble to pampangga they incurred huge amount for that. the pba almost stopped the season. not sure if they have the financial capacity now to do a second conference. they are already operating at a loss. their yt and fb viewers is not even high. even esports league streams are beating them.

- one longer tournament (AFC and Commish Cup merge)
- double round robin
- teams are allowed to enlist one import of unli height
- every team has 22 regular season games
- first 8 teams will enter into the post-season
- 3-5-7 post-season format
- wed and fri (double header) should be aired in TV5 before the ABS-CBN primetime block
- sat and sun (triple header) should be aired in TV5 from 2pm-8pm
- livestreaming should be available in YouTube.

None but given the circumstances, what I posted above could have been the more logical choice for the PBA instead of forcing the two conference season.
KBL, NBL, B.League are like this and they are thriving well. Even VBA and IBL adjusted better than the PBA.

Agreed, a lot of people don’t have cable anymore and do streaming instead. They lost an opportunity with the loss of fb live and YouTube streaming.

I do hope Terrence Romeo bites on that rumored $2.7m contract. His name is known in Asia(particularly East and SEA). He should take advantage of that.
But knowing SMC, I have doubts they are willing to let TR7, Bolick, CJ Perez go easily...
Kahit wala na si Terrence Romeo, I'm fine with Bolick & Perez playing in Japan someday.
Good news that Bolick and Perez have expiring contracts. Getting used to international-style basketball is good for them if they're to be targets for Gilas. Availability might be an issue.
I'm wondering, though, Bolick's contract was for two years. It should have expired last year if that's the case.
