There are rumors Coach Yeng will go to Magnolia if Kirfer - Troy Trade happened.

Kawalan ng MVP group if Coach Yeng will go to SMC.

Only good coach in MVP camp will be Norman Black.

Don't underestimate Chot, come on. And maybe the MVP group can get a good coach for NLEX.

CYG can't leave NLEX because of his personal political agenda.. MVP help his candidacy every elections.. Kumbaga sagot ni MVP election campaign and expenses nito.. Dun di makatanggi si CYG.. especially next year election year again.. He needs MVP's help to get back his position in politics..

The funny thing is that why did MVP hired Yeng if the only intention is to make NLEX the farm team of TNT?

The funny thing is that why did MVP hired Yeng if the only intention is to make NLEX the farm team of TNT?

My take is that this wasn't the case in the beginning. Possibly, at some point MVP lost confidence and came to his senses that CYG can't do jackshit to make NLEX a formidable PBA club capable of regular QF/SF stints, and that whenever they did, CYG choked it. Add to it the 2019 WC debacle, and the recipe for souring relations is complete. CYG has become somewhat expendable for MVP.

There are many things that beyond basketball.. CYG in congress (or even senate) will be good for MVP and his political powers.. and CYG also can help our cause for naturalization prospects if Guiao is in the congress.. another guy that can file a bill for next prospects.. CYG accepts it because he also gain from this.. Unlike in SMC camp that they are not intend to be in politics.. Look at Brownlee's naturalization? Until now di makausad sa congress because wala gaano backer si Brownlee and di gaano support from SMC's top brass... unlike Kouame that has too many backers from Angara, Puno, Villanueva, Gordon, etc... Both of them are MVP's allies..

aside from naturalization purposes , CYG, if ever he wins again in congress can protect the business interest of the Metro-Pacific Group, particularly their telecom endeavors which is a easy target due to their monopoly of the industry

After all this lopsided trades.

Pba will go back to "Crispa Vs Toyota" two team league again in the near future.

I am too young to watch it. But While researching and watching all videos of their battles.

I realized HOW THE HELL CRISPA HAVE A STARTING LINEUP OF ALL MVPS. while Toyota have the 2 best players in Don Ramon and Jawo.

I heard and read Crispa Vs Toyota was popular back then.

Maybe Pba wants to go back to that setup. LOL.

Really funny how it goes around.

SMB VS Ginebra will be the New Crispa Vs Toyota.

PBA has turned into what UEFA club league fans call a "farmers' league", where only 1 or 2 well-moneyed clubs dominate season after season due to their propensity to spend the big bucks and harvest exceptional talents developed by the mid to bottom table clubs, also resulting for these lower clubs to be left out with mostly marginal talents (farmers or tricycle drivers in our parlance). It's quite saddening tbh.

Well, quick comment on that. The UEFA Champions' League finalists last year both came from farmers' leagues.

Yeah, both are massively well-funded, wealthy pro clubs. Great thing about those 2 clubs is that they spend not just to dominate their domestic leagues but also to increase their chances in the major continental cup. Translating to Phil. basketball, I'm hoping that the SMC, Metro Pacific or any PBA team, should they qualify, would think bigger and really take their chances for regional/continental (EASL) glory and make it a yearly target to win that tournament.

The EASL may have the side-effect of worsening inequality if teams are looking to compete there, not just in the PBA. It will just ramp up the farm trades.

I hope that's the goal of the PBA teams that qualifiy. Competitiveness in the EASL (where I hope we will be competing soon). That means spending as much money as possible to win, whether on local or foreign talent.

This is Coach Yeng's set plays. Lol.

So, he just run a simple spreadball screen. "Fist"" play.

His system is easy to learn, but very predictable.

Yeng just reiterating what most of us already knew. Though the I still have Ginebra as the heavy favourite followed by a healthy SMB. TNT and Magnolia are battling for 3rd place. How are the rest of the league supposed to win against them?

Lol.

Coach yeng admitting he is an inferior coach than SMC coaches.

Also he admitted that his system is inferior. LMAO.

"THEIR SYSTEM IS PROVEN". LMAO.

anyway, I think only Coach Tim Cone is superior to Coach Yeng.

Coach Leo is just surrounded by Talent.

Coach Chito only have 1 ring, chamba pa nga ata yun.

But, it is true "5th place na lang pinaglaalbanan" "Lahat ng gilas players nasa top 4 teams).

Coach Yeng, I know you want to transfer in SMC. Maybe you can replace Chito. Lol

Valid point. There has to be a memorandum of agreement among the member leagues regarding a hard floor and cap (something i think PBA would have problems with and would cause them to pull out from the EASL). But I'm sure EASL will eventually come up with a solution if imbalance due to salary cap issues becomes a major problem in the future, perhaps something similar to UEFA's fair-play policy.

Besides always being the coach of an underdog team, i think NLEX's tradition of losing has gotten into him. But who knows, maybe he still has tricks left.

That kind of clause is kinda hard to implement. UEFA nga, 'di nga ma-implement ang Financial Fair Play regulations. Look how Manchester City and AC Milan got off.

same with the NBA, big market teams are always ahead of the curve, but infairness, the luxury tax somewhat provides a mechanism to somehow bring a semblance of fair play. same with the free agency rules as stated in the nba's cba

NLEX could be a dark horse for contending for 3rd place. They kinda have the talent to reach the finals if not for Ginebra and SMB building themselves to be unbeatable (although SMB do have to fix their roster balancing issues, and both having to find successors for their aging players). Well, provided they select a sure star with the 3rd.

i expect NLEX to struggle in the All Filipino Cup, but could be a force in the Governor's cup if they get a mamaw import, that roster is full of role players that could easily compliment a star with Alas (and ravena if available) being the 2nd banana
