Is there like the equivalent of "LOAN" or "LOAN TRANSFER" similar to FIFA? Maybe in FIBA's world there is such a scenario wherein, NLEX agrees to loan Kieffer to the BJ League Team X, and NLEX will receive X amount as loan fee from the BJ League Team X.

OR..

Like what Japanese baseball pioneer Hideo Nomo did. He "RETIRED" from playing baseball, thus freeing him from any obligations in the NPB, and he cant play in that league anymore, well, because he is officially retired. Then he signed with a MLB club (LA Dodgers) a year later.

PBA will probably allow Kiefer's transfer to Japan if they also get kaching-kaching lol.
 
So.... will it be:

Williams to NLEX to replace Ravena?
Oftana to TNT to replace Parks?

Unless SMC-Northport throws a monkey wrench by drafting Williams at #2.

Who gets Oftana? Will TNT or NLEX draft Malonzo? Or get someone else?

The PBA could use the "posting system" currently utilized by MLB with NPB. It's a different sport, I know, but i think is highly relevant when it comes to this Kiefer-moving-to-B. League issue.

TNT - 4th pick

NLEX - Trollano, Sumang, Shaw 2nd round pick (from Blackwater)

Blackwater - Enciso, Semarad, 2023 1st round pick, 2024 2nd round pick (both from TNT).

So basically Blackwater loses Shaw, Trollano, Sumang while getting Enciso, Semerad & future draft picks of TNT in return.

Parang nalugi yata Blackwater sa trade. This is another unfair trade, though of course this is nothing close to that ridiculous CJ Perez trade.

the threeway trade made it appear that the trade is even, but in reality BW is on the losing end, as always.

if what kiefer started becomes a trend, expect Blackwater and Terrafirma to farm their blue chips to foreign teams, which means bigger cash compared to their regular customers MVP (BW) and SMC (TF) can offer

Yeah, ano pa nga ba?.. It's a shame because it can also be another source of income for PBA and the involved club. Then add to it the recognition from foreign leagues and basketball federations, even on a continental scale, that PBA players are worth investing for.

With that money they would get, they can now theoretically support contenders.

I would have just kept the 4th pick if it were me though. Trollano is good but Williams might turned out to be better. Though it's probably not his style to keep many rookies.

OT: is Rangel better than Geo Chiu?

Blackwater farming for foreign leagues? Maybe. But Terrafirma? Nah!

Terrafirma is exclusively SMC's bitch.

I doubt that. I see Geo Chiu having a better upside specially since he's playing under coach Tab.
