I wonder why? And what is it all about ba?

about kiefer receiving an offer from b-league

in the deleted article it mentioned that kiefer went to CYG’s house and talk about it. (this happened around january). they talk about the offer and it’s serious one.. CYG is ok with it.. He mentioned that he just signed the nlex contract and the uniform contract thing.. then CYG has no clue about the latest one in regards to management and kiefer.. (i guess MVP hasn’t inform yet that MVP already gave blessings already to kief) and CYG it will be hard for kief to enter japan and kief already process some documents needed..

CYG dropping hints that NLEX will be making trades. Why? What for? Just get Williams and Oftana. Why make a trade?!

"But the draft is going to take place on Sunday. I like to probably give a heads-up to our fans that there’s a lot of things that’s going to happen from tonight until probably Saturday,” said Guiao, without elaborating.

The multi-titled coach declined to divulge anything more.

“I’m not in a situation where I can probably divulge anymore information but you’ll know soon enough,” he said.

The names of NCAA MVP Calvin Oftana and former NCAA Division 1 standout Mikey Williams have cropped up as the clear NLEX choices with the two prized selections.

Guiao said he is happy with the possibility of obtaining a high-caliber player with the first-round draft picks they have.

“Marami pang mangyayari. A lot of things that can take place that is probably going to make it interesting the next few days. For now, that’s all I can say,” said Guiao. "But we are happy that we are in that position but let’s see what happens the next few days."

Looks like Yeng is not 100% in for Keifer in the B. League Haha

However, Guiao also told Ravena about the process it would entail before he can accept the Japan offer and actually play abroad.

Guiao said Ravena is still under contract, a three-year deal, not just with NLEX but also in the PBA as well through the Uniform Players’ Contract (UPC) agreement between the player and the league.

“There are things that are going to make that reality a bit of a problem,” Guiao said. “Number one, he has a contract, number two, upon signing the UPC, he is also committed not just to the team but to the league.”

Guiao, however, said he will not stand in the way of Ravena’s personal development as long as everything is cleared with NLEX management and the PBA.

“The first thing is I don’t want to be in the way of your personal career advancement especially if that advancement was really something substantial," the veteran coach said.

"But I said, you have a problem and your problem is you have a contract with NLEX and, of course, the PBA will have to allow you or permit you to go to Japan and play because the moment you sign a contract with the PBA team, you are also committed to the PBA as a league,” said Guiao.

Guiao said Ravena has yet to speak with him about the offer except a few days ago where he told him that he is already in the process of obtaining a Japanese visa.

“I think even if he completes his papers, that’s not going to automatically allow him to be able to play in Japan,” said Guiao.

because as far as as we know no entry pa ata to entry. that’s what we understand

Sabi ko sa inyo eh.. Do you think it's easy for Kiefer to go abroad? Think again.. That UPC rule of PBA the reason Kiefer can't get his wish to play in Japan.. He should honor it.. A breach of contract will be happen if Kiefer force this one..

I told you even he has MVP and NLEX blessing, He can't get a clearance from the PBA.. Do you think PBA will allow Kiefer to go overseas? If they allow Kiefer it means more players will do that and PBA will be at losing end of this.. Kiefer needs to honor PBA's UPC.. A breach of contract will happen if Kiefer force this one.. If i were Kiefer, He should honor his contract...

is it final though? that’s why they’re talking about it.. again if theirs buy out, PBA gave go signal and then kiefer is okay to go. it’s not breach of contract if theirs a buy out.. that b-league contract paid the kiefer’s nlex contract..

Its more a loan.. bleague team will pay mvp este nlexa loan transfer fee so that kiefer can play for b league, but it will face a lot of opposition from other parties and will be surprised if theres none

as long as the players are free and has no contract and informs PBA then it’s fine..

a handsome buy out.. something that other people doesn’t understand..

again if theirs a buy out and the offer is legit then PBA is okay with it.. it means that b-league team already owns kiefer after that buy out of kiefers nlex contract..

The problem is the PBA.. I don't think PBA will allow this because if they allow Kiefer then more players will follow suit.. Imagine Romeo, Lee, or even Junmar will folllow through.. then PBA is in deep trouble.. You know how chaotic PBA boards minds are.. They treat the sabbatical thing of Parks and Slaughter as a big deal already and they are now creating a new rule to stop that already even Parks and Slaughter didn't break a rule regarding of contract situation..

then PBA Is stupid..

but i don’t think romeo, lee, JF will go overseas.. Romeo and JF has offers outside but opted to stay in RP..

We have nothing to do with that.. Kiefer should honor UPC rule in the PBA.. PBA will not simply allow a player especially there's a existing contract... They are also protecting their interest also... It's not easy to buy out a contract, That's too long and more process.. He can play B-League if he has no contract.. same case of Chris Ellis that he played for Thailand's TBSL, He waited for his contract to expired at BWE before playing in other leagues (I don't know if TBSL is already PRO league in that time)...

so to, if theirs a buyout, legit offer and b-league team already owns kiefer, will PBA still not allow kiefer to play for that japan team? PBA is foreign to the idea of this buy out thing as it has never happen before..

You can buy out his contract if a player has no committed to a league that his playing for.. Example is Jayson Castro.. TNT buy out his contract from Singapore Slingers because that Slingers have no league to play before ABL, They were supposed to play in NBL but it didn't materialized.. So it's a deal for Slingers and TNT to make a buy out because Castro has no league obligations that time.. Did you notice why SMB and BWE didn't try to buy out Parks and Cstand's contract case before.. They drafted them but they have that existing contract in ABL that time because it will have some problems regardless of their contract obligations in the ABL.. Even at NBA.. Teams at the NBA before interested at Campazzo but NBA teams waiting for Campazzo to finish his contract obligations at Real Madrid before he entice some offers from NBA.. Kiefer should also avoid of what Rubio has to deal with his early career in Spain when he was drafted by Minnesota back in 2009 but because he has contract obligations..

Check this on Ricky Rubio's situation (Per Wikipedia):

On July 22, the Associated Press reported Rubio was seeking to leave Joventut, regardless of whether he was able to come to the NBA. The report indicated that the ACB powers FC Barcelona and Real Madrid were both interested in signing Rubio if he could not immediately go to the NBA. The main stumbling block to Rubio's NBA move was a clause in the league's collective bargaining agreement that prohibited a team from paying more than $500,000 toward a player's contract buyout. Barça and Real, as ACB clubs, were not subject to this rule and could pay far more toward a buyout.[16] In another development, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported on August 4 Rubio's representatives had been actively seeking endorsement deals in Minnesota to help finance his buyout (the NBA buyout rules are binding on teams, but not on third parties).[17]

However, on August 31, 2009, ESPN reported Rubio would not come to the NBA until 2011 at the earliest.[6] Joventut expressed a willingness to reduce the buyout, and the Timberwolves apparently had a deal to bring him to the NBA, but in the end Rubio did not feel ready to cross the Atlantic. Rubio issued the following statement:[5]

The reason leading me to take this next step is to have a period of preparation to better take the challenge of the NBA in better conditions as a player. The Minnesota Timberwolves continue to be my first option and I wish to play with them in the near future.

Kahn believed Rubio and his family were being pressured by the Spanish media, his national teammates, and people in his hometown to stay in Spain, adding, "It's just been a tough summer. From an 18-year-old's perspective and his family's perspective, it was very nerve-racking".

ESPN reported his original buyout with Joventut was €5.7 million ($8.1 million) in both 2009 and 2010.[6] Barça bought out Rubio's contract for €3.5 million ($5.0 million), and announced on September 1 he had signed a six-year deal with the club. The contract gave him the option to go to the NBA after the 2010–11 season,[18] with ESPN reporting the buyout at that time would be a more manageable $1.4 million (of which the Timberwolves could pay $500,000).

it depends how much the club asks for buy out. any club can buy out that player on the opposing team irregardless how long the contract is..

I guess the question is assuming Nlex is willing to release Kiefer , will the PBA still stand in the way, of that mutual agreement between Nlex and Kiefer ?

Kieffer also needs FIBA Clearance right? so he needs clearance from NLEX then PBA then SBP before FIBA can allow his transfer, amirayt?

^
I would think that if it's fine by NLEX and PBA, then FIBA will be fine , FIBA only enters the picture if the league itself disputes the release.

The main question is if it will be allowed by the PBA. of course 1st base is still NLEX

Kiefer less NLEX is good for SMC este PBA right? Why would SMC este PBA object to NLEX losing their best player?
