Nah its more on the Coaching/Management situation. Remember he mentioned that his retirement was more of personal reasons. He even said its not because of his health problems.
 
But the 6-foot-6 Fil-Am forward of TnT Katropa mentioned puzzling words that obviously left a lot to be desired about his retirement.

“I will say that I thought I could still play for the next four or five years strong. But sometimes, some things are out of your control, and there’s a lot of things and intricacies within the business that sometimes you just got to deal with the best way you can. So I think that weighed a lot for my decision,” said Williams, appearing in the Ultimate Fan Hub podcast a day after announcing his retirement.

TNT is aging. This is one of the reasons why TNT chokes. The stick to players waaaaay past their primes.

At least their new core of erram (31), rosario (29), pogoy (28), parks (28) and enciso (30) are all in their primes.

Jayjay and Caguioa stayed in Ginebra rin naman when Ginebra starting to win championships in late 20s.

You will always have 1-2 sentimental players for your leadership amd motivator.

As long as the core are young and in their primes, its ok.

PROBLEM OF TNT IS THAT THEY STILL USE SENTIMENTAL PLAYERS AS STARTING 5

Iirc, their starters are erram-rosario-parks-pogoy-enciso, who among the five is “sentimental player”?

Parks and erram are new to the team and are part of the 4 most important players of TNT. Pogoy is less than 30 years old, while Castro is still top 7 point guard in the pba

TNT is deep as hell. They shored up their bench pretty quickly. Castro, Reyes, Montalbo, Exciminiano, De Leon, Marcelo, Washington, and now Kelly's back?

Not saying they're better than SMB, but they are better-rounded. More depth at the frontline. That bench could compete with Ginebra's.

I guess that trade for Erram paid off. They didn't need the pick, just needed to get UFA's.

I expect them to trade for cbc. Coach chot loves him as a player.
 
Just another day at the circus. Those 2 are not of equal value and the trade "committee" knows it.

Ginebra should have added more players, kahit 'yung mga bata nila. Greg has value on defense, but he's not as valuable as a Standhardinger.

Well at least Rose played well last season while Barney was playing hardball with Chua..

Anyway if it's just a stop over then they could have a bigger haul trading him to SMB or Mags. Pero damn not even a draft pick or fillers?
 
At least the Slaughter Standhardinger trade is not as bad as the Perez trade.

I fully expect Slaughter to be traded with the next year or so to SMB though. I wonder what wizardry SMB will do to acquire Slaughter.
