It would have been a good trade if Alaska did not give up their 1st round pick in this year's draft. Alaska would have been instantly better with both the #6 and #7 picks.

I hope Alaska won't waste their 2nd round picks (16, 18, 21) on Racal/Marcelino type of players again. Guys like Adamos, Caracut, Ahanmisi, Laput and Muyang might still be available to them in the 2nd round. Maybe they will be lucky enough to get 2 bigs, albeit raw, in the 2nd round.

Phoenix won this one. Maybe Alaska is desperate to dispose of Manuel which is why they agreed to a non-sense trade like this.

The trade really depends on Phoenix performance next season. If they really are struggling/about to be sold then maybe they struggle. Lets see, they have talent but the team doesnt make much sense.

Yup eto gusto ko ipoint out. Alaska shouldve kept their own pick plus getting the number 6 which makes more sense. Wonder why Phoenix gave up too easily for Abueva if this will happen rin pala.

Stupid trade committee came to the conclusion that Manuel has the equal value as Heruela and a 2022 1st round pick. This year's picks cancel each other out.

Had Alaska retained their own pick, it would have made a lot more sense. Manuel = Heruela, 7th Pick and 2022 pick.

Then again Alaska agreed to this, which only means they are desperate and scared not to get anything out of Manuel at all.

Rumors of on-going talks between Petron and Phoenix Petroleum for the former to acquire the latter due to its financial losses.

Snow Badua
Alaska = benta franchise soon mode.

Nagpaduday kay Soyud at first round picks hinihingi. Tapos Heruela na walang contract lang kapalit ang dami pa nila gwaryda hahaha

i think its fair. manuel isnt spring chicken either at 33. only about 2 or 3 years left. while alaska can pick two in this deep draft. plus phoenix' traded its first round pick for 2021.

The Vic Manuel trade wouldve not happened of not for his age. Alaska didnt feel like giving him a 3 yr max contract.
with the potential entry of a lot of serviceable big men (6'5" and up) who already veterans of other leagues (ABL, MPBL, 3x3) I dont think makakapang "MAMA" pa si Manuel lalo na babalik pa sila Junmar at GS. Maybe other teams especially the SMC and MVP teams took that in consideration for not pursuing Vic Manuel. Phoenix got him for basically a 1st round pick next draft and dumping the rights for Haruela.

Don't know why. But I feel Pba is getting worse as time goes by.

Maybe this Filam Ineligible Rookies can bring up excitement again.

The trades have a lot to do with it. In the NBA, fair trades are part of the fun. The PBA doesnt have this aspect half the time, with Blackwater, Northport and the big boys of benta.

Hopefully they can level the playing field for the other teams. This is a deep draft. Infusion of size and talent, especially at the 3 and 4 spots.

What if Topex do some magic and Perkins can play 3 spot? It's PBA anyway.. iilan lang good wing players dyan and he's not slow either way..

Well, Topex did make Perkins a point forward. Pwede naman.

I especially agree about the wing spots. Most time, the 3 is more of a 3rd guard than an actual wing. Shows how much help we need there. On both forward spots, actually.

im actually not worried by Perkins, Vic Manuel seems to be an odd puzzle piece for Phx

perk will be the future of this team. with vic 33 and coming from injury i think alaska has set themselved for a good future with earlier picks plus they got rid of manuels max contract. they can also use manuel as bait for trade next year if he does not pan out.

What fair? Heruela is 31 either and he's inconsistent.. Alaska has too many guards right now then why take another guard again? Why not take Napoles if they want less salary? Napoles is 3/4 spot that can give alaska some size.. Alaska's pick and Magnolia's pick (Trade that Phoenix get from Abueva trade) are same value (6th and 7th)..

Alaska didnt care about Heruela. The commish just added him to the trade. It was all about the picks.

With the 6th pick ba, Alaska now can select in Gilas draft.
