sone habits just dont die

His career was reinvigorated, but sources said all's not well with his personal life. Over the last few weeks, tales of Abueva standing up coaches and team officials in meetings and team functions started coming out of the Phoenix camp.

There was even one meeting with no less than the Phoenix big bosses which Abueva also missed. No word, no explanation, the sources added.

As exasperation within the team heightened, Phoenix coach Topex Robinson, one of the few people who Abueva trusts and listens to, admitted things happened so fast after another recent meeting that the player missed. Before he knew it, the trade with Magnolia was sealed.

Wow. Its right.

My guess is right.

Phoenix will sell Wright and Perkins, and maybe Chua.

Really like sta lucia back then

Na feel ko lang when Dennis uy want to sell his phoenix business.. they are like powerade of 2012 when after they have a good season run then all of suddenly nagkawatak watak due to financial problem.. but one thing for sure.. matthew wright will be in a smc or a mvp team coming this season.. if I mvp camp, I will pursue wright already...and perkins..

Which will only worsen what is already an imbalance competition in the league. But I would still prefer the Phoenix superstars/stars like Wright & Perkins to end up in MVP teams instead of going into the evil SMC empire. As I've always say, MVP players will most likely play for the National team when called into service - an exact opposite on the case of SMC players.

I see Wright ending up with Ginebra to take the spot/role of the ageing Jeff Chan. Lets face it, Wright is easily among the top 4 wingmen in the PBA today. He's in the same boat as CJ Perez, Rayray Parks, RR Pogoy.

Another Snow rumor.

Sayang as they were already coming together as a team. Hopefully they will sell it to someone who can actually bankroll a PBA team, the only problem is the whenever a certain company plans to join the PBA SMC will then re brand its PBA team to block the incoming company. PBA Needs to review that rule.

Before when news circulated that Phoenix might join the PBA. SMC suddenly re-branded it's SMB to Petron, after that Chooks-to-go naman they change Purefoods to Magnalia Pambansang Manok.

As SMC teams get better & stronger, the PBA gets worse & worse. By hoarding the best talents in the PBA, SMC is killing the spirit of sportsmanship & fair play - things that rational fans (yung hindi uto-uto) are really after for.

SMC is killing the hen that lays the golden egg.

I expect a PBA backlash this season, & better that way para matauhan ang PBA.

Its a self-serving rule for SMC. Well, SMC = PBA eh.

As it stands right now, SMC has only a few names that are as good as or better than the Gilas boys at their respective positions.

These are: Terrence, Perez, June Mar, Lee, Japeth, Pringle, Mo, and now Calvin. Of these players, only the bigs and probably Calvin would be non-replaceable by any of the cadets at their respective positions.

The problem will arise, however, if SMC gets some of the cadets, especially the key players like Dwight, Baltazar, Oftana, the GDL brothers, similar to what thatweirdguy pointed out in the FIBA Asia thread. Something would have to be done to force SMC to lend them, because they're that important to the program. Sanctions or what, but the PBA will unlikely have the balls to do that. So Gilas has to increase the incentive of letting players join the FIBA windows or tournaments. Make it look like they're helping SMC with player development, probably. I might be reaching, but I think it would be beneficial for both parties.

Another rumor I found in Twitter. It's a reply to Snow.

Very good for SMC (all 3 of its clubs are automatic title contenders) but extremely bad in general for PBA (ever-worsening parity) if this rumor becomes true.

Lol.

Northport - Abueva, Melton, 2022 pick

Magnolia - Cstandhadinger

Yeng Guiao to Magnolia because he dont want to trade kiefer.

But MVP management wanted to make TNT stronger.

Ang gulo na ng pba. Lol.

it seems that SMC does not want to deal directly with Calvin and his excess baggage hence they are throwing him to their farm team North Porth, wait Nabong and Abueva in one team? good luck with that

ROS and Alaska should just bolt out of the PBA and just make the league a intramurals between MVP and RSA,

ang nakakalungkot dito would be that average fans of the PBA couldnt care less and would be jubilla t since their fav teams just reloaded, rational PBA fans like us is a scarce resource.

With the impending transfer of CStand to Magnolia via trade, it is definity not a coincidence that SMC teams will own among the top 6 big men in the PBA right now - Junmar, Tautuaa, Slaughter, Japeth, Sanggalang & CStand, and that is too many considering that the PBA doesn't have the abundance of quality big men.
