No. 1 interpretation makes sense. Northport is lowkey trying not to be tagged as a farm team anymore.

They have baclao in their reserve. I think Meralco wins this trade. It lessens the point guards of meralco and gives more minutes to black and Jackson, while belo helps on the offensive end when maliksi si inconsistent and takes off pressure from new some being the number 2 option

Amer+ Faundo sounds so much better than Jackson + Faundo on paper at least on the eyes of the fans.

They should have picked ba different player than Jackson. I thought he was part of a larger trade back then?

Most of them they don't like the idea of special draft!! But they not inform or no idea why we need special draft.. If they connect the latest scene that out of 29 requested eh only 6 come to training then they will know the answer... Ako nga eh never ako nagbabasa ng message nila.. I just only read the link then finish..

Good chance that both Laput and holmquist will be available for meralco at the 9th pick. Both has potential as quality big. Ideal to play as Almazan’s backup with his injury history.

Galit na galit SMC fantards sa special draft dahil nakuha ng TNT si Pogoy. Mas nauna pang pumili yung teams nila yung mga sikat ang kinuha AVO, Ferre at Jalalon.

Actually, if you go back to 2016 draft, the reason they created that cadet/special draft that year was because the supposed to be draftees namely the cadet players opted out of the draft to focus on the gilas. So guys like Belo, Ferrer, Wright etc wouldnt enter the draft yet at that time. I think only Pogoy wanted to apply that year so if that happened he would probably be the 1st pick(BW’s pick). I think SMC, mainly Ginebra had two picks in the 1st round that year and was expecting to pick 2 of the cadets, little that they know if the special draft didnt happened, they still wouldnt end up with cadet players

Pretty sure they had 3 chances to draft Pogoy, they just went with Jalalon, AVO and Ferrer instead.

Do we have Mock drafts for this year (2021)? Let me give my take for the first round.

1. Jamie Malonzo - (TER) - IMO, he's the best talent in the draft. Yeah, even better than Munzon.
2. Joshua Munzon - (NOR)
3. Troy Rike - (NLEX) - NLEX needs to secure him. MVP teams are suckers in terms of getting premier big men, hence, their struggles.
4. Jeremiah Gray - (NLEX) - Solidifies coach Yeng's rotation. With Rike at the Middle and Gray at the wings, they be complete.
5. Mikey Williams - (ROS) - a Sol Mercado with outside shooting. Remember how lit he is in his rookie days.
6. Calvin Oftana - (MAG)
7. Larry Muyang - (ALA) - Alaska needs additional big men
8. Alvin Pasaol - (TD)
9. James Laput - (MER) - With only Almazan as a legit big man, Meralco needs to secure him.
10. Santillan - (PHO) - Shall complement Perkins very well
11. Jerrick Ahanmisi - (NOR)
12. Jordan Heading - (GSM) - best guard after Mikey. Additional firepower since LA is about the retire.

Among the draftees, I think only Rike, Gray (if indeed eligible), Oftana and Santillan warrants a Gilas call-up. Will Navarro will definitely be a second-rounder (but should be a Gilas Draftee). Not sold on the likes of Tungcab, Heading and Pasaol.

It really sucks that TNT has no first and second round draft picks. Yet, they are still not winning

As for TNT, they have to do a better job of developing players who are not guards. They kinda limit their bigs to just stretch bigs, they have to be more than that.

They won perpetual trophy with Mobile and Stretch Bigs in Kelly and Ranidel.

But I agree, Kelly and RDO is more than just a stretch Big.

TNT have Erram, But he was Outplayed badly by Japeth and other Bigs.

This is the thing, e. They're more than just stretch bigs, especially RDO.

And both Kelly and RDO are special players. Looking at TNT, it's only Erram who's promising. I gave up with Troy. As what IPC said, he's only a stretch big.

Mo could have been the next special big, but TNT's system limited him. They should have used him the way NorthPort used him. As for Troy, maybe a different environment would see him perform better and become more versatile, same as Mo.

RDO was allowed a freer role when he was with TNT. He had more leeway to operate. I don't see that much with Mo and Troy.

Pretty obvious they can enlist mocha trolls and DDS since they are very much influential to the government right now and given special preference in all projects. But the damage is done. Allot are now turn off to watch PBA. And will just support the national team.

Erram was outplayed by Japeth, but not by much. It was Troy that was soundly outplayed. Got outplayed by Perkins, and then Aljon Mariano, except for that Game 3 where he dominated inside.

SMC fans was sold that the MVP group initiated the Gilas Special Draft because TNT doesn't have a 1st round pick in that draft.

The reask why belo was traded its because tnt will trade rosario to bwe for trollano, amer and might even include shaw in there, they have length with magaat and taha back then its just that dicket and tab cannot able to do it.. dun sila na outmatch ni tim cone..piso piso play lang ang kailangan gawin ni japeth for him to be effective..
