Philippine PBA Trades, Releases, Sign-ups, Rumours (vol. III)

If Terrafirma play there cards right for the 1st and 8th pick, would be another potential money maker for them in 2 years time.

Or if Pacquiao wins in 2022 (what if?) then these independent teams must leave the PBA and put their franchise in MPBL.. Or even the MVP group.. Leave these farm teams and SMC teams fighting their circus clown league and little by little will die..

i doubt the mpbl will survive this year, they dont even hav a broadcast partner and ge does not have deep pockets like RSA, that league will eventually fold

because you don't join purely to win. no matter how bad the fans think of the PBA, we are still talking about it. thats still marketing. a large part is also passion for the sport. cant say for the others but ROS and Blackwater owners are really passionate with basketball and Alaska owner has always projected himself as a sports minded person.

put aside marketing and the money. how can adding teams help the league? if whoever new team simply get from draft and FA, then it'll be years until they become decent against the current top teams. baka maging farm team lng din sila if they cant manage their team well in the first few years. can we comfortably say the current draft aspirants have a pull on the audience? and also, team owners(thru the governors) will vote to add new teams. why would they allow new teams in (specially SMC and TNT)?

Those are possible reasons. Aside from getting business from SMC or any other member team for pure business aspect.

I feel in this day and age you better do some Youtube video that will earn more engagement activities for your company rather than hang on to a league that has an unfavorable reputation in Public. Just in a pure advertising/marketing sense.

Strange and funny, SMC fans spread like mocha trolls in spin.ph started just a few days ago. Bashing spin.ph. Obviously most are fake accounts.

Most of them they don't like the idea of special draft!! But they not inform or no idea why we need special draft.. If they connect the latest scene that out of 29 requested eh only 6 come to training then they will know the answer... Ako nga eh never ako nagbabasa ng message nila.. I just only read the link then finish..

Masisira lang ang araw mo brad pagbinasa mo mga ganyang message. Its just a waste of time reading them

So here's a piece of news:

There we have it, it's in the Philippine Star: https://www.philstar.com/sports/2021/02/04/2075330/tim-cone-confirms-greg-slaughters-ginebra-return

That may solve Ginebra's frontline problem, unless he can be a trade asset. I expect Cone to keep going with his hybrid small-ball lineup.

As for assets, Ginebra should consider moving some of their bench guys, or this year's picks, for future picks (2023-2026 range). They're so deep right now, almost any pick in the near future would be wasted with them.

Bunch of jackasses. I think some of them are employees or receive benefits from SMC/AFC, with the way some of them even use the "do-you-have-solid-proof" card just to defend the results of their idols' actions. Truly blind, they are.

Amer and Bryan Faundo. Well, MERALCO's backup center is now 6'5" Jammer Jamito, and then 6'4" Reynel Hugnatan.

I wonder how Black will integrate Belo.

So Meralco got worse? BW won the trade?

You can have a trade where no one wins.

Haha. True. This does solve Meralco's lack of reliable bigmen or source of scoring. Belo isn't it.

While BW added another guard and a veteran undersized big for their injury prone player.

2 rumors from Snow:

1. "During a family dinner, the chicks sister and the 4th kuya are trying to work a deal.

The chick said, I will STAND then kick you til it will MARK your rib.

The 4th said, “No way, I SANG you JOCK the disc, Fair?”"

2. "One day, I SANG...

“Sinusundan ko ang bawat laro... ng koponan kong naghihingalo!”"

di nalang diretsuhin daming drama haha, so i guess no. 1 is CStand for Pingris (or Barocca?), Ian Sangalang and Jackson Corpuz

no 2 involves Ian Sangalang

Gulo nga ni Snow. So I scanned the Twitter comments and found these interpretations:

1. Standhardinger for Ping (or Barroca), but NorthPort want Sangalang and Corpuz instead.

2. Sangalang to Ginebra.

They have baclao in their reserve. I think Meralco wins this trade. It lessens the point guards of meralco and gives more minutes to black and Jackson, while belo helps on the offensive end when maliksi si inconsistent and takes off pressure from new some being the number 2 option
