Chua said: "There is no bad blood. I think he's mature enough to realize that what he did is wrong."
"I've been very busy with work the past few weeks and I am looking forward to just enjoying the holidays so hindi ko muna iniisip yan," the former Ginebra coach said.
"Maybe after the holidays, we can talk in person," Chua added.
A fairer trade would be Perez for Lassiter or Perez for Moala Tautuaa. I think not too many fans would complain with such set-up. But knowing how greedy & garapal SMC people are, I doubt they will give up any of their good players. Eh hawak nila sa leeg si Commisioner Marcial eh. San Miguel is doing a mockery of PBA rules to get everything it wants & nobody can do anything to stop it. If there's a term "getting away with murder", I say SMC is "getting away with swindling" while everybody is watching.
Columbia on the other hand is playing whore to SMC. Columbia doesn't deserve to be in the PBA. It is SMC's bitch.
If this shitty things continue to happen, I would rather see PBA collapse. SMC & Columbia is destroying the integrity of the sport. Binababoy nila ang basketball.
Its not just SMC. MVP group does dumb trades too.
And MVP's dumb actually sets them back a little. Kind of like the Erram trade emptied their bench. Terrence for Mo didn't work out for them either.
Erram did OK at TNT.. Just he need better back up.. D. Semerad is a mismatch when he defend guys like Japeth, Junmar, etc.. He needs better back up.. They should pursue Rodney Brondial via free agency..
I hope PBA can go back to the way they went about with trades during the 90's and early 2000's. Back then it was marquee player for another marquee player. It would do PBA some good to set a more strict and rigid standard, not just basing on matching the salaries. For example, the Pringle trade. Him being a marquee player considering his individual stats and overall win-shares for NP for the last 3 seasons, should have been traded with Scottie Thompson as the replacement.
Or like in the NBA. Make the team receiving the marquee player give up numerous picks.

Doesn't really matter since the farm teams would rather have cheap players that they can trade to the mother teams after they get too expensive for them to keep.
PBA wants a 3-conference format: https://tv5.espn.com/basketball/pba...pba-hopes-stage-three-conferences-46th-season
This has got to be a joke. To think that Kume Marcial was part of Eala's think tank. If the PBA is serious about supporting Gilas, they should really adjust the schedule to give more time to prepare.
And let's stop with the All-Filipino conferences. We need to play against imports full-time.
due to pandemic they incurred losses. three conference format maybe will let them recuperate.
It's like a loan system in European football. Big teams loan their young players to smaller teams to gain experience, then when they're good enough, the mother team takes the player back.
However, in this case, the loaning team gets the option to buy the player.
Just a thought about this new format. I may be crazy for thinking this, but it may help the PBA adjust to a fiscal schedule. The PBA can hold the first conference (likely an All-Filipino) before the FIBA Asia Cup, then continue towards the import conferences, which are fortunately concurrent with the EASL. Filipinos have to get used to playing with (and against) imports the whole season, especially teams with EASL aspirations. FIBA breaks may also help with the season adjustment.
Hopefully, that's the standard format. Two import conferences from September/October to May/June.
