"Did you WASH your Laundry or your KID is playing with it? better call your BARAKO Friend"

J-Wash? Kid = Paul Artadi? Both of them going to Barako!? And Artadi's been there. I thought he's good with Meralco there

it may also be a trade involving washington for the guy previously called the kid (raymundo). and since its petron and bgk, they need a 3rd team (barako) as conduit.

Good point. Sounds logical actually. They're unloading Raymundo to Barako Energy for their future first round draft pick (probably targeting Slaughter, Ravena, Parks, Pringle, or anyone they like) which will be given to Petron. Ginebra would get J-Wash in return.

both guys still relatively young but considered by many as damaged goods already. wherever they end up with, i hope they do show they can still play top level basketball.

And at the end of the day, who gets the best out of this deal? :-)

So, this watch brand's time truly ticking... Tick... Tock... Tick...
Other team wanna whip their already cool line-up... Tick... Tock.. -

Initially, I'd go with Barako IF Kerby could coincide his play with that of Seigle's. Thing is, BBE has a lot of 3 and 4 guys. So it's a matter of fitting things in. So I guess it's Petron 'cause J-Wash to Ginebra is just a recipe for disaster

This one's been around rumor mills, Casio for the "Cool Whip" Cabagnot.

Makes you wonder how Barako Energy would be able to pay the max salary of Kerby Raymundo when they have other players in that lineup that are not exactly earning peanuts. Guys like DS, Pennisi, Pena, Tubid, Allado, Arboleda, Miller, etc. are probably earning anywhere between the P200k to P350k range. They may actually still be within the cap even if they include Raymundo but for a brand that's not even seen on the shelves of groceries and convenience stores, you wonder...

J-Wash joining BGK won't be that bad really. If healthy, he'll be a great 3-4 player with an ability to score anywhere. And he'll get a lot of offensive touches at BGK for sure. But ultimately, the chief beneficiary may be Petron since they're probably getting a shot at acquiring a blue chipper in the draft - someone who can be their franchise's next cornerstone.

well, we all know how much of a bullshit the idea of the PBA Salary Cap is.

J-wash going to Ginebra would be bad (based on my own standpoint, being a Ginebra fan myself) due to the circumstances that it would hinder the growth of their young players, particularly Dylan Ababou, Allein Maliksi, and, to an extent, Rico Maierhofer (if he gets used at all).

Forget the cap. I don't think Barako would exceed the cap anyway. It's their capacity to pay that makes one doubt.

But then again, it's also not uncommon to have the previous team of the traded player to continue paying for his salary. Which should make the deal too good to pass up on by the Energy Masters.

Oh come on Mr. JPM - the venerable one. Does it really make you wonder?

Of course you don't. You and I both know who bankrolls and signs the checks for the Barako Energy. Even a blind man can see. Barako is an SMC Annex, or maybe a warehousing facility if you will. Just an extra place to hide the stockpiled and hoarded goods. hehehe

PH,

There are some things that are better left unsaid. Nonetheless, check out my post above yours and you know I'm not as clueless as you may think! :-)
