At greg age and current skills set it seems malabo talaga NBA, but i will admire and support him if he will really try, nothing is impossible malay ba natin? Go lang the important thing is he wants to improve.

Don't wanna burst anyone's bubble but if you ask me, this was really all about the trade. As the article stated, the trigger was the trade rumors.

I read the exchange he had with Snow and "pikon" talaga sya. Never thought he'd sink to the level of Snow but he did. Ang yabang tuloy nung isa.

The NBA thing is just a ruse. Japhet is right there, he's more athletic than GS and has range, but he couldn't even make the GLeague rotation. I'm sure Greg is aware of that.

I'd be happy to be wrong, though.

Well there are millions of athletic freaks in the US, what is going for Slaughter is he is huge, 6-111/2 PBA predraft measurement, he would be listed 7-1/7-2 in the States.... Bugs are rare commodity even in the US, kaya nga mas nalili sina Tacko Fall...

Even if he wont make it the NBA, the experience and training will make him better.... Nangyari yan kay Raymundo and Ping, they had injury then and they had rehab and training in the States. PAGbalik they become better player... Si Ping improvedhis dribbling and become a Gilas player...

At this point in time in Gregs career, at the very least he should try out in the G-league and not be a pawn in the charade that is happening in the PBA - SMC -MVP league. Northport as it is is a farm team of SMC, and that is expected knowing that SMC has a stake or ties in Northport.

If true, it is plain stupid for a team to trade someone like CS for an almost over the hill GS BUT since the PBA is an SMC / MVP league, they pretty much can do what they want in the guise of trades ... unfair trades.

I hope GS stands his ground and better yet take his act, the better part of his career somewhere else and not this archaic league

Do people here really believe that article? It looks like the source was came from Snow Badua's arse.

Do you believe that Greg was offered to join atleast NBA tryouts? Where is the news before? Filipinos are easy to believe to this...
I for one do not believe that Slaughter has NBA offers.
Obviously I would not take the article's statements at face value. It could have been made to boost Greg's stock or to provide a convenient excuse, but basic journalism rules dictate that if the source told the writer that, the writer is obliged to put it in his story, but the writer must clarify that the statement came from the source himself, without making a judgment as to whether or not it's true.

The article said an NBA scout tried to recruit him ... it did not say an NBA team is recruiting him, if ever, that scout may prolly just parade him to teams and see interest

my bad. That all the more proves my point. It isn't impossible that an NBA scout may sound out Greg.

Yes, this is correct. He was quoting his source. That's all. Like when reporters quote the president or whoever, even if they personally think it's all hogwash, it's their job to report it.

snow badua’s tweet

“Ang mahal ng parking lot sa min. 900,000 a month ang asking price.
Eh 420,000 na nga ang binabayad ng mga nakapark sa kanila ngayon.
Tapos plus load pa at cellphone dati nga make up at pabango lang ang add-on”

“One player is being offered to different teams for valuable assets.
UP TO NOW, NO TAKERS.
His value will definitey depreciate.
I hope other teams realize this so they can only give crumbs in return.”

quite obvious. its BRP.lol

wonder how much did alab payed to keep him in the abl before...

Money Talks, 900k is an import salary in the PBA...

I've been speculating this for years. Where in Asia or NZ or AUS can you get that monthly salary year round? Partly the reason why yung magagaling natin naging stagnant. Don't have to go somewhere to get a lot of dough. Plus the star-treatment. Man, that is why I admired Kai for dreaming NBA, surely, he will be a millionaire and a star in PH, but he leave those behind for a higher calling. I hope our new generation of players will have the same mentality.

True. Woj only reports trade rumors. He does not post videos of himself watching porn or drag players' SOs or families into the mud...
