i think bigger companies like jollibee group, sm, procter and gamble or unilever should be encouraged by the pba to join. give them some incentives.

Why join when 2 other companies have 3 teams and a strong hold on the politics of the league?

BW should have at least asked for Pogoy. Trollano and Semerad are almost exactly the same off the ball player.

Not really a one sided trade in the mold of CS Kia trade especially if the future pick are first rounder.... Trollano and Semerad especially if its Tony Semerad are good role players...

We have gone so low, that this is considered as not a one sided trade.

I doubt they would want to deal with PBA (and SBP) politics, just ask Bong Tan (who is a basketball fanatic btw)

Yeah but they're not good shot creators. I would have kept one of them if I'm TNT. They're good 3nD players.
 
MVP groups making a move against SMB. Ray Parks' contract will expire after Governor's cup and we all know that he is heading to SMB teams. Free agency is nothing more than a misnomer in the Philippine pro league, where ballclubs retain the right of first refusal on all players with expired contracts. Even if one player gets an offer sheet from another team, all the mother club needs to do is match the offer to keep the right on the player.

Even if a player decides to sit out or play in another league, his mother team needs only to make a qualifying offer not lower than his salary in the final year of his old contract to retain the right on the player.

Valid point, and unlike a sol mercado and kevin ferrer, Sol is a former pba all star, Ferrer is still a good young talent, trollano and Semerad were never pba stars, they were just a perfect fit to an elite team but not the best players or top 3 scoring options and they never created their own shot....

Will SMC just wait for tnt to explode before they get parks in their arms again we'll see...too bad, he joined tnt at the wrong time you almost a shoo in on Gilas..

well for sure parks jr. will sign a new contract with TNT.. they won’t trade for parks jr. if brp jr. doesn’t have plans to sign with them..

pba should just remove their protectionism rule where competing orgs cannot have a pba team. jollibee, sm, p&g or even unilever they dont need the pba to market themselves.

BRP Jr. has no choice because of PBA's right of first refusal rule, PBa will only have a real unrestricted free agency in 2021..(Benjie Paras, EJ Feihl and Japeth Aguilar)

Yeah they always buy high and sell low.. TNT's defense and shooting could suffer and we still don't know how Parks could play with Castro. It could be TR 2.0 all over again. Those 2 round picks could be valuable in the future.

like tnt, meralco, nlex, northport and smc. they don't really need pba to market themselves maybe because they are either miles away from their main competitor or there are really no competitors at all.

i don't even see the point of advertising public utility (Meralco), a ppp project (nlex) and port operations (northporth)
