Maybe not now, but I guess by next season when Norman Black will be then calling the shots for TNT.

japeth is on final year on 3 year contract he sign before. well he might be included for smart gilas 2 cadet team? alongside chris lutz who only sign for 1 year contract for petron?

i am still at awe with your ignorance. If they do play for Gilas 2 cadet team, who is going to pay them? What kind of contract are they getting? If this happens, why didn't they just extend them after Gilas 1? Simply, a player needs a pro team because that's the only way they are going to get a contract especially now that the Gilas program is over.

i understand. sorry for the ignorance.

itrade nlang Japeth to any of SMC teams

Chot won't use Japeth but i doubt the Other Evil Empire wants to send the player with probably the most potential to the Original Evil Empire. If he is indeed traded and then he pans out, that would be the greatest booboo of this era!

how about japeth for rabeh? one is mentally deficient while the other is mentally unstable. this could be fun

is that Reggie Okosa who played in Japan's league?
Yes, he played 5 matches in KBL in this season, when replaced C.Rhodes. But i think, he has poor condition. KT Sonikboom lost 4 of 5 mathes with him.

Interesting names cropping up for imports of 3rd conf. NBA Summer League and Camps preventing some highly-touted players to accept though.

for sure, pba won't get highly touted players.

Any tweet from Eala regarding Petron's elimination the other night? Or is he "looking ahead" and not being mindful of the criticism? Eala's neck is on the line if he fails to constantly deliver. He was hired by RSA to make sure their teams win titles, particularly Petron, which is RSA's corporate baby, and to avoid the MVP Group to dominate the league as it has been doing for the past two seasons already.

Too early for that i think. Petron's injuries will be Eala's excuse and it's a valid one. If after a year they are still underperforming? Then you can make a case for Eala's failure.

Don't worry...not saying it will happen at the end of the season but he really needs to produce major results. RSA may find it extremely expensive to maintain someone like Eala when Robert Non used to run things there before. And Non is still around in the SMC Group!

Plus, Eala's decision of bringing in Toroman as consultant may also be an extremely expensive undertaking. I don't think he can justify Toroman's salary unless he puts him as Petron's head coach. That would mean demoting Agustin or moving him to BGK and demoting Tanquincen (if the latter doesn't deliver this season). It will be a major merry-go-round but it won't come free. RSA, like MVP, doesn't own a limitless budget.

True true. But if you consider his actual position (SMC executive director?) he's not totally in the red yet-- Ginebra or BMEG takes home the crown this conference and all is forgiven with the underperforming 3-6 Petron.

His job would be saved if Tim Cone snares the title. He got Cone from Alaska so he can claim credit for such. Siot Tanquincen is a SMC loyalist but he can also lay claim in hiring Alfrancis Chua to backstop him.

Yes, of course, I was referring to the entire SMC Group. Which gives him a 30% chance every single time to win a title for the conglomerate. Add to the fact that these 3 teams make up 4 of the PBA's top elite, then you know he chose the right employer.

But with the kind of salary he's being paid, he needs to deliver results...fast!

Odds indeed are in his favor :)
