Narvasa admitted that he don't follow the PBA yan palang e makita mo na agad he's not qualified to be a commisioner of the league. How can he decide on the trades if he doesnt know the players ngayon plang tadtad na lopsided trades... I wonder how he get the job, palakasan? Vince hizon, charlie cuna and other are all capable except him. Yan kabago bago puro kapalpakan agad. PBA Down fall is near too much politics....

^^ the barako bull and ginebra trade comes into mind. barako ends up with what, 7 pointguards, and loses their first round pick last year, how is that supposed to benefit barako? haha.

I'm confused. I thought Snow was clearing RSA's name and putting all the blame about the Gilaserye etc on Alfrancis. From what I remember, Snow tweeted to Alfrancis something like, "Ang bait-bait ni RSA, pero nasisira ang pangalan dahil sa kagagawan mo." Shouldn't be RSA be thankful to Snow?

We hate Snow as a reporter. But if he'll go against the evil empire, then go go go poging Snow!

if my senses are correct this anonymous writer is snow badua.
snow is using a pseudonym to do his job. LOL

I am used to reading snow's casual interview with yeng guiao and with the way this article is written i can swear this is snow LOL

I agree, just read this article, the intro looks like a snow badua article, maybe he did wrote this anonymously, snow's style (on tv) used to be refreshing, I thought he was a reliable source of pba news, but when he began becoming showbiz in his style of reporting, I began to dislike his style of writing, plus the cuss words on his tweets, it just does not look good on a journalist to act like that, then the abueva controversy happened, the one where he played in a larong labas during the pba season, snow capitalized on this and and I thought it was a personal attack on calvin, so since then, when I read his articles, I read them with caution, but I'll say it again, Narvasa banning Snow was too much, I may not agree with how snow reports things but I'll have to admit his tidbits (especially the one about chua) are interesting, but I don't think the ban was the right course of action. it was too harsh

I think snow benefits from the ban pba gave him, he becomes more famous, people will talk about him and wonder what did he do to get banned by the pba and maybe more people will side him, he wins

and its not like he has to be in the games to write articles. He gets the news from his sources/insiders

The ban is justified basing it on his previous spats with league officials. The guy is a d*ckhead. And looks to be not fazed by the ban. Maybe if he shows some remorse and apologize, we may see the ban lifted after a year.

The man has been already kicked out of the building. Enough of him. Lets go back to regular programming.

so should the media just remain silent then? I think he did nothing wrong...provided everything he said was true. and with the way narvasa is handling the situation...he's not fit to be the unbiased comish we always wanted.

is he still part of PTV4/Sports radio 918 ? if he is then he has fixed salary every month.

he is still in sports radio 918, but he is no longer with PTV4
PTV4/Sports Radio 918 is consider as one. sports writer of ptv4 are also with sports radio 918. We may not see snow at PTV4 but still he is with sports radio.

No longer applicable as Ang and the Gozons have reportedly settled their differences amicably, with Ang getting back the PhP 1 billion he paid for GMA shares and the Gozons receiving PhP 20 million (the interest that was earned while the PhP 1 billion was being held in the bank -- loose change, come to think of it). Apparently, the Gozons tried to pull a dick move by proposing two things: 1) keeping Felipe Gozon as president of GMA Network for the next two years; and 2) laying off up to 800 GMA personnel prior to the consummation of the sale.

I wonder if these issues were also what kept MVP from acquiring GMA a few years back.

On the other hand, I also wonder if the other owner of SPIN.ph, Summit Media, has an axe to grind against SMC. All I was able to dig up was John Gokongwei's bid for a seat in the SMC board almost four decades ago, which was thwarted when SMC adopted by-laws which disqualified representatives of competitor companies from being part of the board.

Yeah, Gokongwei went to the Supreme Court and lost. It's required reading in corporation law - a competitor cannot sit on the board of another competitor company. But I think he has moved on from that, and considering that it was so long ago that it was still ECJ and Soriano who were running the show. Or maybe he's one to keep a grudge like SM vs. Mercury Drug. :)

PTV is a government corporation. If Snow occupies a permanent position he can't be sacked. Government employees have security of tenure

I don't know if Snow holds a plantilla, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was hired on a consultant basis only. After all, one does not need civil service eligibility to be a reporter -- or does PTV have that requirement too?
