dickie bachmann has said numerous times that they would be happy to lend players for the national team, provided training would start after the PBA season.. Tab Baldwin has said training for Gilas officially starts after the season ending conference.. so there is nothing to worry about..

nba players pass on playing for their national teams all the time...whether its coz of themselves or their teams (parker-spurs). it's not a crime to pass up on playing for the NT...if they want to rest coz of a grueling, long pro season they deserve that.
well, from media, abueva wants to play for the national team, alaska has said they will lend after the governor's cup.. then all of a sudden something comes up? i am disgusted if that happens.. that's what i am saying..
i respect players who pass up NT duties for personal reasons..

i don't think his eagerness to play for the national team has changed...it's just that he might really have a nagging injury he wants to rest. besides the gov cup is just about to start...we'll never know what nicks players might accrue within 3 months.

well the pba is a really physical league and injuries come very often.
more than that i think the main reason is because PBA have longer season than other leagues it runs around 10months per year. so its brutal for our players they have little time for rest and vacation.
And Pingris never complains.
