Trade picks for quality players, then get the picks back later on for bench players. :D

I pity the Barako Bull coaching staff and players. I wonder what they are feeling right now.

I wonder what's the running rate for a whore who lets PBB f*ck her over while while sucking BGK's balls?

how about us? - Air21

:p

somehow..the ababou and denok deals make sense but the sison-isip for 5th is stupid. i guess fudge boy wasn't fired but resigned...

Don't worry guys. If those picks don't workout they'll trade them back later for established players/future draft picks.

if only not for the jobs that it provides, I'd rather have 8 teams than 10 with air21 and barako

Petron will draft a big man with the 5th pick that turn out to be a bust. Then they'll trade him back to Barako for a future pick that will later on become Van Opstal

The problem is, he's out of the country in no time too. Good riddance, Rajko. A good coach, but nothing special.

We all knew that Toroman only had a 2 yr contract under San Mig Corp during Eala's time. This was bound to happen since he was just given a gig coz of his salary.

With that, the SMC group is back on top of the PBA. When it rains, it pours. What a year for ECJ.

I wonder how MVP is feeling right now and how long he'll keep supporting Gilas. Didn't he join the bidding war initiated by Barako?

Pogi: "Who's Laughing Now?"

I think GILAS is safe right now. Maybe up to 2016 at MVP's hands a the earliest.

Bold prediction: Ababou will somehow find his way back to an SMC team by the end of the season. Book it

Source: Barako to trade No. 4 pick to Ginebra for Abalou, fifth pick to Petron for subs
From: Snow BaduaOctober 30, 2013, 05:23 pm

JUST hours after giving active consultant Rajko Toroman the pink slip, Barako Bull is set to pull the trigger on two more trades that should shake up the picking order in the coming PBA rookie draft.

Putting premium on experience over youth, the Energy Cola, sources said, are set to trade the fourth pick overall in Sunday's draft to Barangay Ginebra for comebacking forward Dylan Ababou and the No. 5 pick to Petron for rarely used subs Mark Isip and Magi Sison.

The deals, once approved by the Commissioner's Office, will leave Barako Bull without a pick in the first round since it is also set to acquire Denok Miranda from Globalport in exchange for the No. 6 selection overall.

“Binigay na 'yung pick. Gusto nila yung Dylan. Kasi alam nila pagnakakuha ng kumpiyansa ulit yun, mahina ang 10 points na average n'ya kada game,” said the source in trying to make sense of the trades.

Ababou, a former star of University of Santo Tomas and a mainstay of the original Gilas squad, has sat out most of last season due to an ACL injury but has done well for Ginebra in the times that he was healthy.

However, giving him up means Ginebra can get a shot at acquiring blue-chip prospects like Terrence Romeo, RR Garcia, Alex Nuyles, James Forrester, and Jeric Teng.

On the decision to trade the fifth pick to Petron, the source said Barako Bull is putting premium on experience as the ballclub wants to make an impact this season instead of building up for the future.

Once completed, the deals could shake up the roster of Barako Bull starting with the departure of Toroman, who admitted he did not expect to be fired on Wednesday morning.

According to a source, the trades are now awaiting the approval of PBA commissioner Chito Salud, who is still with the board of governors in Sydney for its annual planning session.

Another WTF move by an SMC bitch..

Another bruhahaha of SM. What bosses disslaked? Rajko against ridiculous trades? Rajko requesting from players to play honest games against SM teams? Many of us thought that Noli Eala was behind most of bad things. This confirms that it wasn't him after all.

Is this for real? after sacking rajko without warning they are initiating this lopsided trade. SMC group you are too obvious pls do not underestimate the knowledge of filipinos in basketball.

I really hope the board hasten up the expansion of the league not only more jobs are available it can create parity, generate new fans and stiffer competition that can create exciting games.

Only the idiots think otherwise. We all know that SMC has been like this for years-- Eala was just a pawn like many others. No surprise on these trades at all.

Who's fault is this? The bitches? Business-wise it's a winning proposition for them. The Original Evil Empire? They have the money, this is what they do, and they are taking advantage.

So unless we all stop watching this won't stop at all-- it's the nature of a pro league.

Not the average basketball fan though who just want to see a good game of basketball. For the more knowledgeable ones, they are either on the payroll of the PBA one form or another so they turn a blind eye. For the ones without vested interest, they just don't have the voice and platform to share their criticisms of the league.

Agree.
