i'd say that's a bad move by ROS since they have a lot of picks this year which they could have just used for bigs...BUT let's see if they keep him.

Snow badua reported that there are talks of a #2 pick for #3 pick & belga trade... :)

@PBAonTV5: Salud announced that three games will be played simultaneously in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao for the 2014 season opener on Nov.17 #pba2013

It seems that SM is taking Monfort for Ginebra. I hope that this is just a rumor. This is not good even for Monfort. He should play. With LA in front, it will be hard to get serious minutes.

Almost. The entire plan was Monfort to Ginebra, Ross to Petron, and Denok to Barako. The showstopper was Denok to Barako - wouldn't happen as long as Rajko is "consultant."

Meanwhile, Belga finally inks max deal wit ROS...

Dont be surprised if monfort is traded for labagala straight up...

A pick might be added to "balance it out", but that pick will most certainly go back to SMC.

I want the PBA to do what the NBA does, in where you are not allowed to trade your draft picks in consecutive years.

Trillo cold on trade offers as Alaska happy with present lineup
From: Richard DyOctober 29, 2013, 02:36 pm

WHY try to fix it when it ain’t broke?

Alaska intends to parade an intact roster in the coming 39th season of the PBA despite efforts by other teams to upgrade their respective rosters in the short offseason.

Coach Luigi Trillo pointed out that his team was a win away from reaching the semifinals of the recent Governors Cup, so he doesn’t see any reason why he needs to tinker with its makeup with trades at this point.

“I just wouldn’t do that (trading some of his players),” said Trillo, who led the Uytengsu franchise to its first league title in the post-Tim Cone era in the last Commissioner's Cup.

“I’m more of keeping my team intact because we’re actually one win away from reaching the semifinals again (in the Governors Cup), but we lost to San Mig.”

The youthful Alaska mentor admitted being approached by several teams to explore trade possibilities.

But given the success the Aces had this past season after winning the Commissioner’s Cup title and pushing eventual Philippine Cup champion Talk ‘N Text to six games in the semifinals, Trillo doesn't see any reason why he should entertain the feelers.

“We made some trades in the past and we did that because we had some players who don’t want to be part of the team,” explained Trillo, without further elaborating.

The Aces are coming off an impressive 30-20 (win-loss) record overall last season, a huge improvement from their 11-24 mark the previous year which marked the team’s first campaign since Cone left for San Mig.

Trillo also denied rumors he’s transacting with Globalport to trade one of his players for the Batang Pier’s first-round pick this Sunday.

“No offer so far, and if they did (offer the first-round pick), I’m curious,” he said.

The Aces are considered one of the heavy favorites in the coming Philippine Cup as they will parade a solid core led by Finals MVP Sonny Thoss, Cyrus Baguio, JV Casio, and Rookie of the Year Calvin Abueva.

so we guess Aldrech ramos will remain seated on the bench. Poor Ramos.

Alaska will revamp its lineup midseason for sure. Too many past their prime players in their lineup. Belasco and Laure will be the first batch, while I expect TDLC to become an assistant coach next year.

I'll be surprised if coach Tim passes on the 2nd pick just to get the 3rd pick plus Belga! That'll be suicidal for SMC as a whole...SMC bosses would surely like to have Greg and Ian on their side instead of seeing them with the rival teams...

Alaska shouldn't waste their picks this draft with so many old players on their team.

How about a surprise on draft day? The 2nd pick was dealt to Alaska for Thoss + future 1st rounder, so the 2/3 of Pinatubo will be reunited!!
