TNT wins this one. Anthony is young and a very good role player. Not as athletic as kelly williams but he has a three point shot and hustles like Harvey. Saktong sakto. TNT has started rebuilding and this is a good first step. I think napaaga dahil sa injury ni Kelly.

Meralco gets JD, lets see if He shows up at the same level after the injury.

For Barako, they badly need a scorer after Seigle. ronjay fits that. Or maybe because Seigle will be traded?

I'm confused. I thought injured players cannot be traded.

They can. So long as medical documents are disclosed accordingly.

This was triggered by the Bong Solomon case of 1995 when Alaska traded him to Ginebra for the latter's first round pick. Alaska failed to inform Ginebra about Solomon's detached retina condition and this resulted to the new rule that required teams to disclose the medical conditions of their players before the trade is consummated.

In this case, Meralco apparently is aware of Dillinger's condition and is willing to gamble on him when he gets healthy.

Winner of the trade here is obviously Meralco - assuming Dillinger's injury isn't damaged goods yet.

I was able to see Romulo Mamaril and Peter Aguilar play for Ginebra. My hazy memory just couldn't recall if they had the chance to be teammates at Ginebra.

Aguilar for Taha? A NT member vs someone who hasn't done anything yet? How can Salud approve this? Taha + Espiritu or Taha + another player would have been more reasonable.

MVP must be pissed right now. Globalport = The New Air21/Barako Bull = New SMC Farm Team :p

worried of that TAHA-AGUILAR deal? How about JWASH-ROOKIE deal? hahaha
JWASH traded for a rookie.

So I guess it's really Washington + Taha for Aguilar + Deutchman. OK, it's more reasonable.... LOL.

Willie Miller, Gary David, Jay Washington and Sol Mercado in 1 team. How many basketballs will they need?

espiritu for barako's future pick...

how far into the future? next season's draft?

;)

that lineup is a disaster waiting to happen. goodness gracious. what the hell is Globalport doing.

Tanking?

An already small team trading away 2 of their big players. LOL! Good job Mikey Romero!

Curiously, Norman Black traded for a player who can replicate the roles played by several of his SMB players back in the late 80's and early 90's. Sean Anthony would now essay the roles that Black gave to the likes of Jeffrey Graves, Alvin Teng, Romy Lopez, Josel Angeles, Art Dela Cruz, among many others. Black has always been partial to defensive albeit undersized forwards who do the dirty job inside of boxing out, going for the rebound or the loose ball, defending the interior or the perimeter, and scoring in putbacks. The question is if Anthony is still fit to play or is already "damaged goods."

Meralco obviously benefited from this trade as they lost a key reserve in Ronjay Buenafe and a seldom-used big man in Gilbert Bulawan for two reliables - Jared Dillinger and veteran Don Allado. Allado still has a couple of years left in his tank and will play the center role for the team - maybe a starting one at that. Dillinger, so long as he gets back in shape, is a lock at the SF starting position. Given the opportunity, the Bolts may actually turn out to be one of the best defensive teams in the PBA with the addition of these two players.

I'm still trying to figure out what Barako is doing with its lineup. I don't know if Coach Toro has a hand on the decision-making as he was reported to be vacationing in his hometown at present. They were able to secure a shooter in Buenafe but I don't know how much impact he'll have on this team. Then they got Bulawan who'll obviously languish at the bench. They lost Anthony and Allado in the process which is part of the unloading process that the team is doing given that they are at least 9-player heavy at the forward / center position. But I really don't know how things would pan out - especially if rumors are true that the Energy are willing to give up a draft pick for Elmer Espiritu. What the hell would they do with Espiritu? Similarly, if they give up a first round pick for the lanky and athletic UE Warrior, then I'll shake my head even further...

Poor espiritu. Cant find a break that he wants.

if the trade materialize then good luck to baculi. They got a lazy player in washington. I remember when toroman is still w/ petron that he said he's not a jump shooter and he doesnt want to improve under toroman.

Yes, the senior Aguilar and the senior Mamaril were teammates at Anejo Rum 65 in seasons 1989 and 1990...

With all do respect, but Allado is lazy and terrible defender. Shipping Dillinger from TNT to sister team is part of punishment for his irresponsible act. Barako is not a very independent team, so doing things in favour of SM is not a big surprise.
