canaleta and caguioa i think deserve the selection since they're probably aiming for a rep from each team and they're the best players of their respective squads...though you're right about paul lee over casio.

PBA selection? Good for two teams yan.. The big men would be supplied by our imports afterall

I want Yeng to be the coach of the All-Stars+Imports. :D

Possible, but it would have to depend on the performance of the teams in the Commissioner's Cup. Norman Black has a lock on it though, being the AFC champion coach. It would be nice to have Black around as well because he would be able to work with Chot on what kind of plays they need to simulate to make Gilas work.

If Japeth looks for playing time, he should stay at GP. At GSM he will the likes of Hatfield, Kerby and Rico M. to compete for minutes. But of course, this is not his call.

Hatfield and Raymundo are what? Combined 75 years old???

not a bad idea, but I I'll be very nervous, the last time Yeng Guiao coached a team against Gilas, elbows were flying :)

Wouldn't the experience be a plus for Gilas? Who know's, we might get to see a Technical called in an exhibition game for the second time in Philippine Basketball history. :)

Norman would be a good choice as well, but wouldn't he be sitting at Gilas' bench considering he's an AC?

im just afraid of the possible injuries :)

Guys, Herbert Hill will be coming to play in Lebanon with Amchit to replace the injured Dalibor Bagaric... I heard he wasn't impressive at all in the 3 games he played with Ginebra. Would you all agree with this from what you saw or do you think the guy has what it takes to make a positive impact and play well?

If you are expecting a go to post player, he's not your guy. But if you are looking for a big man that will get a lot of rebounds and will work the weakside very well, then he'll be a good addition.

Well he might blend well, he is not the high impact kind of player but certainly not a "team cancer".. with Emmett scoring I don't see Hill to be unproductive..

The only thing went wrong in Ginebra is that there is pressure for Herbert here to deliver ..

Agreed. It's more of the make-up of the team and not really Hill's shortcomings. If say, Balkman was with Ginebra and Hill was with Petron i think the latter would have "delivered" and will not go home after just 3-4 games. Hill's attitude was very professional as reamilly said, and that is an admirable asset because even though he knew he was getting shipped out soon (not to mention the entire Araneta Coliseum screaming at him) and he stay played his game.

Salamat for the info. guys :) Hope his stint in Lebanon goes well since many Lebanese have watched these highlights and are already expecting the worst ;)

hill may not be your go-to-guy type of a player. he's a decent role player who can get rebounds and blocks. good luck on his new career in lebanon.

The guy that Hill is replacing (Bagaric 217-C) was averaging 9 points and 11.2 rebounds.... Any numbers better than that would be really good.

He won't be the go-to-guy since Amchit (the Lebanese team he will be playing with) have Dre Emmett who is averaging a record 38.5 points/game in the Lebanese league which is something we haven't witnessed in such a long time :p
