True true. That's a balanced line-up. i just don't believe that Cortez will improve Air 21 mightily (Arboleda can play that role) and that at best they'll get to 7 wins (with or without Cortez)

Let's see if they'll miss Taha's energy.

0 to 7 wins is a huge improvement....

I think he could definitely be a game-changer for the Express. Cortez is still not past his prime at 31 and looking at Air 21's lineup, you can see that all they need is a better than average PG to be able to stay competitive and even win some games.

PG - Cortez, Arboleda, Atkins
SG - Wilson, Bonbon, Ritualo
SF - Omolon, Canaleta
PF - Isip, Sena
C - Baclao, Rob Reyes

Definitely a formidable lineup if you ask me.

Solid players would say but again reality bites for Mike he is surrounded by bench warmers of the 9 teams maybe except Canaleta they are two potential game changers.. he just needs to rely to John Wilson, Isip and Baclao to deliver dido and sametime pull plug out of renren and bonbon..it will help if they found the right import imo..Air 21 in top 8 = success already

heard they will be bringing back high-scoring import, zack graham, in the 3rd conference....if marcus douthit will be allowed to play for them again the 2nd conf, they'll be very competitive...

If Cortez plays well we will see him in bmeg or Petron before the 2nd or 3rd conference starts..

which is the prerequisite also of air 21 success..
that means..

Be serious.. if Air 21 is indeed making itself a try.. just like when they have arwin, kg and ranidel in them they need not to let go of their best players with mike just atleast after 2nd conference.. and lastly hey need to have that one more move..

Rain or Shine is built similarly to the Spurs and OKC model, ROS is perhaps the most financially-efficient team in the league, they acquire first round picks and develop them to become solid players if not stars.

Good analogy on ROS and Spurs. It does help that both teams have tough-minded coaches too. (Pushing your analogy further, both Pop and Yeng are not only coaches they also act as de facto GMs...)

Now more analogies:

Petron = New York Yankees

Expensive Paper Champs!

Spurs Model they got Tim Duncan in the draft thats the turning pt. their franchise Ginobili is a rare talent blossomed and only played years after he was drafted in nba.. Parker fluorish in SAS system

I guess, he's be retiring as an Air21 express...DLSU team!

So Macmac is next? (i think the probability of Cardona and Meralco getting in different direction is going to be bigger)

Cardona and Cortez two guys maybe deserve more respect on what they have done in the league that they given to..

true. cardona and cortez would breathe a new lease of life on the Air21 franchise. they can trade baclao for cardona.

Expensive indeed

Air 21 will be loosing its remaining big me..maybe they signed up and resurrect from retirement 6'6 Manny Ramos and 6'5 Adonis Sta maria

The "prodigal son" Don Allado will be back next conference. Barako Bull will not sign him. Air21=DLSU is likely...just hope nobody else signs him up beforehand.

Air21 has now the talents they'll need to move into upper part of the team standings...
