Pba draft 2024

  • Thread starter Thread starter r1ck2
  • Start date Start date
If potential and long term viability will be the basis for draft, Kai would be the 1st pick

You might be right but are underrating Balti all around game (able to play well with Justin arana and a tall import,..

They might be luring mvp este bw to trade up for the pick and SGA/Delta will juice this..they mgiht make the 6th (nlex) available for them

Balti likely won't see action until December

Baltazar said the decision rests in Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda, one of his closest advisers and head coach of the Giant Lanterns, who are eyeing for back-to-back titles in the MPBL.

“Hinihintay ko desisyon ni Gov. Sinabi niya talaga sa akin na parang tatapusin ko talaga ‘yung MPBL kasi may kontrata ako,” said Baltazar.

Baltazar also explained his decision to skip the draft last year, saying his game and confidence was down after being used sparingly by his team in Korea.

“Last year kasi, hindi pa ako healthy. Hindi ako masyadong nakapaglaro overseas. Kumuha ako ng kumpiyansa sa MPBL hanggang sa eto, bumabalik na ‘yung laro ko. Balak ko talaga magpa-draft kapag ready na ako,” said Baltazar.

Avan Nava listed at 6'10 haha. Typo error there, probably 5'10

I do hope Policarpio goes to a team that can develop him and give him the needed minutes to realize his potential. I think he can become another Calvin Oftana type of player, a legit tall wing which is what we are lacking in our Gilas teams.

MOCK DRAFT

FIRST ROUND

1. Converge - Justine Baltazar

2. Blackwater - Sedrick Barefield

3. Terrafirma - Kai Balunggay

4. Phoenix - Evan Nelle

5. Northport - Rj Abarientos

6. NLEX - Dave Ildefonso

7. Rain or Shine - Jonel Policarpio

8. Rain or Shine - Brandon Ramirez

9. Magnolia - Jerom Lastimosa

10. Meralco -Cj Cansino

11. Ginebra - Caelan Tiingson

12. San Miguel - Mark Nonoy

So Balti is 6'9" with shoes, Ballungay 6'8"?

Will they still get the measurement of Dave and RJ if they attend today's draft combine?

Out of Topic:

This is 6'3 Lexi Sun, former Nebraska Cornhusker Volleyball Outside Hitter. This was Caelan Tiongson ex-girlfriend. Apparently, they break up during Caelan's US Reality TV era .

Only reason teams will be hesitant on Barefield is if they think he can be another Mikey Williams issue.

For Balti, loyalty will never be an issue.

Pba hyping Mark Nonoy’s vertical leap, argues that its a world record (via tiebreaker times)

Nonoy has some mad hops/crazy vertical

side note: i thought he was 5'10-6 flat

I remember he was listed as 5'8 and that was the argument here in IBN for not making the U18. At 5'9.5 he is as tall as Romeo.

Is this legit? If so, I don't know anymore what is special about Balti for him to be the no.1 pick without putting the Converge-Pampanga ties. Kai Balunggay should be the No.1 pick if we are talking about skill, talent potential, and age. All this time I know that Balti is 6'9 lol.
