Maybe he will thought he will get a chance to play with converge since he has good relationship with the bosses there.. luckily Terrafirma/SMC agreed to trade him to Converge... Surprisingly SMC/Dyip agrees to trade him.. maybe they knew that Heading is not interested to play with SMC... One of the cases a player doesn't want to play with SMC, we all know majority of Filipino ballers wants to play with SMC teams... Hoping Dave will be free sooner... He doesn't deserved to be hostage like that...

Can replace both Perez and Newsome tbh

Happy for the guy. He is relatively young compared to the Barefield's, Holt's or William's. He got a lot of flak in his rookie year. But on hindsight the long adjusment period should have been expected. First he was good offensively but not G league level like the aforementioned. Secondly, he is more of a defense oriented guy. Now with his offense catching up with his defense he is becoming a thorn in the league. North Port doesnt even have reliable point guards and yet their top of the league. Munzon's growth has a lot to do with that.

I like Bonnie Tan's style. He lets Navarro bring up the ball when the guard gets stopped. He also gives Navarro a greenlight to shoot from outside. That step in 3 against Brownlee was pretty impressive. Navarro is not as skilled as Oftana or Tolentino but given a good setup he can hit the open shot and obviously he is taller, longer and a better defender than both.

A lot of Filam guards take a long time to adjust locally. They have to re-learn how to create space because the "freedom of movement" that is given in the US doesn't apply here.

If their game is built on skill and speed, they'll have a hard time at first when physical defense hits them. Attacking the basket is also different, it's not like the nba where guys dunking will not be dangerously challenged.

Agree sir RDs. I know Munzon is different from the barefield/mikey williams archetype because he is not as ball-dominant as those guys but i was surprised that he can be a defense-inclined player like this.

Mags put Zav Lucero at 3 next to Sangalang and Ratliffe. Wow.

Speaking of Lucero, that's another player who suffered an ACL tear yet with the way he has been playing for Magnolia, it looks he will become Magnolia's No. 1 local player in a year or 2.

He's playing with Jerom Lastimosa, another guy who tore his ACL.

couple of points from the NLEX Meralco game,
I like that Poli is getting more minutes and plays directed to him, hes still rushing things but a player of his skillset will come in handy if developed
Bates and Quinto are Meralco's talismans, if they both play well Meralco is very hard to beat.
That MPBL pampanga team has some interesting pba level players, first was louie sanggalang and now theres ramires.

Munzon secured his passport in 2017 when he was already 22 years old. The issue is he didn’t play right away with Philippine local leagues but in Malaysia KL Westport Dragons (ABL). For that reason he may not obtained a FIBA exemption.

Bonnie tan mentioned that Arvin(the team captain) wanted the team's holiday break to be shortened so that they can maintain momentum. Arvin I think is on a mission against SMC teams lol

Stockton looks like hes not in game condition, already puffing moving lethargic. Just let Schonny handle the ball

Converge loses to TNT. Couldnt score against TnTs defense in the last seconds. Stockton was out of his game because of the physicality of the defense. Winston was the only consistent guy. Heading was finally able to score in the 4th. But their end game execution was hampered because they couldnt rely on Stocktons play as much. Diallo is not a great 1 on 1 scorer against good D. Balti also couldn’t do it. But in a series TNT will have a hard time. RHJ barely got any rest. While Converge was able to keep it close even when resting Chieck.

Ramirez I think is a Filfor. A bit short but skilled and mobile despite his bulk. He helped Pampanga a lot this season compensating for the sub par performance of their no. 2 guy Eguilos.

SMB escapes Magnolia. Double double for CJ. 20 pts 10 assts, 6 rbs, 4 stls, 2 TOs, 3/4 from 3 including the lead preserving last 3. Best game from Perez in a while. It seems he is becoming a better decision maker. SMB has no choice actually. Ross has no offense. Tiongson is a defensive liability. SMB has been inconsistent so far. But if Perez bottles up this kind of discipline and playmaking they might still be a darkhorse.
