PBA 49th Season

You can see who played in NBA (RHJ) to never played in NBA (brownlee)

Brownlee in his late 20s - early 30s against this kind of RHJ right now would have been the greatest import battle of the PBA.

Too bad and kinda hurts seeing Brownlee losing to father time.

RHJ definitely outshined Brownlee by a mile on this series, question is now that were seeing Brownlee regress, will Cone adapt or will he still rely on Brownlee. In a way its good that this happened, Cone will have to think alot about his plays and his players this coming FIBA window.

I love Brownlee and I consider him the GOAT of imports but he really looked like 36 years old against a prime RHJ out there. Nothing to be ashamed of, tbh, as Brownlee gave us our first Asian Games gold medal in 61 years. Brownlee is goated in my eyes. I hope RHJ doesn't play like this when he wears his Jordan NT uniform though.

RHJ is the only import to have beaten Brownlee twice. RHJ is 8-4 against Brownlee in the PBA. Many on this board are Chot haters but it looks like we're seeing the changing of the guard as far as imports are concerned.

Gonna give credit to Chot for implementing a defensive team this Conference. Hats off to him and TNT. Its kinda funny sometimes, the coach thats being heavily criticized by the people for spamming ISO plays actually had other plays in the 4th while the “Goat Coach” stucked with Iso ball with his rookie. Lol

Yeah, credit to Chot. I criticized him for stubbornly sacrificing defense a little too much in favor of offense (which I still believe cost us in the SEA Games in 2022), but he implemented well his version of small ball on defense. TNT's roster helps too. RHJ, Khobuntin, Erram, Kelly, and even Pogoy.

Chot adapted well.

Again the burden of Brownlee doing big man role is taking away his prime at a much faster rate,.. I dont see him being commissioners cup import up until late season? Ginebra will look for that big man

Despite his lack of 3 point shooting, his other skills that are nba level is too much for JB

gap between a nba borderline talent and a career overseas journeyman is wide AF

lol PBA press corps refusing to give RHJ the reigns as the best player by denying him of finals MVP. Castro was not a deserving winner at all.

RHJ's lack of shooting is the only thing that prevents him from returning to the NBA. At 29 years old, I don't see him ever fixing his shooting issues though. This is actually RHJ's prime and I don't see him getting any better, unfortunately.

whats scary though I feel like is that he has become a more willing team player - team defender, passer. This will be a problem if we do face Jordan.

I hope we havent given them (Jordan) any clues.

Alot of NBA vet that could not carry their team to championship unlike RHJ and Brownlee. TC when small and went back to Triangle had hard time dismantling a defense with player that can switch will all position. Similar strategy against us with Brazil

That's my concern too. RHJ is gonna be a problem for us if we face Jordan and it looks like he's unstoppable in the Asian level as a small-ball PF. Jordan simply has to surround RHJ with shooters and make him the primary ball handler just like what TNT has done and FIBA-Asia teams will find them tough to beat.

Good thing Jordan is not consistent with there 3 point shooting unlike Lebanon.
