Andy Jao is right about holt, pretty good player but when he has an off night, he really has an off night

RJ is the best playmaker in Ginebra, Japeth and Scotty, two guys who move alot without the ball thrive with his playmaking.

Guys, if this semis would go to game 7 either the Ginebra-SMB or the ROS-TnT series, & the finals would also go to game 7, tama ba that the game 7 of the finals would be Nov. 15?

No coach Tim, its your PBA that will cause the delay of Gilas training for the 2nd window. If you check the B-league schedule, you'll see that it will take a brief break about 10 days prior to the start of the 2nd window qualifier of the Asia Cup. By Nov. 12, available na po for Gilas training sina Kai Sotto, Dwight Ramos & AJ Edu.

Si Carl Tamayo lang among the Gilas player playing overseas that will be late in joining Gilas dahil may game pa yung KBL team nya on Nov. 14.

I'm just praying that the PBA Commisioner's Cup finals won't reach to a game 7 so that PBA Gilas players would be available earlier than expected. Since Ginebra has a very good chance of making it to the finals, if the finals would go to a winner-take-all game 7 then Gibebra's Justin Brownlee, Iskati Thompson & coach Tim himself would only be available for Gilas training by Nov. 16. That's 5 days prior to our game versus tormentor New Zealand.

Kung bakit pa kasi ginawang best of 7 series ang semis? The semis should have been a best of 5 series na lang.

I like this finals between TnT & the winner of SMB-Ginebra semis end in 4 to 5 games para naman maka practice agad ang Gilas. I don't care which team wins the Commissioner's Cup title. All I care of is Gilas getting at least 10 days of practice before going to war with New Zealand on Nov. 21.

Game 7, if ever, will be on 10 November: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/Zk6xbxgeUBjruKyh/

But I agree, the series should have been best-of-5 to better accommodate Gilas. At least nga, the 6 games a week up to the quarters helped lengthen the break before the window.

the bobooo is making qf best of 5, and semis best of 7, i think aside from NBA only PBA plays at least a seven-game series in each playoff rounds

Agreed on that score. No problem with best-of-7 finals, but yes, the other rounds should have been shorter.

Would they have a break for FIBA Asia for a week

Game 7, if ever, is on 10 November. The NZ game's on 21 November. Break's for more than a week.

However, I think Gilas might need a longer break for the tournament proper, maybe a month or two.

best case scenario finals won't reach game 7, PBA even scheduled a game on November 1 in which most of the time the league is on a break

Absolutely, Gilas would need a longer preparation for the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup tournament proper. A one month preparation is ideal.

For every window qualifier, a 10-day preparation prior to the 1st game of the window qualifier is good enough. Yan din ang preparation ng halos lahat ng national teams, Asia in particular.

I think coach Yeng had about a month of preparation for his RP-Powerade team in 2009 FIBA Asia Championship. I remember that team played in the Jones Cup as part of its buildup. For me among coach Yeng's fault was not choosing players like Dondon Hontiveros & Jimmy Alapag for the team out of personal animosity.

Sorry, I forgot that coach Yeng also handled the ragtag RP team in the 2018 Asian Games with Jordan Clarkson in tow. I don't blame coach Yeng for that team's failure to make it to the semis despite having a Clarkson. That team was assembled at the last minute & Clarkson joined the team only during its 2nd game of the tournament. Kulang sa cohesion ang team na yun & it wasn't coach Yeng's fault.

Yeng Guiao was known as "nagtatanim ng sama ng loob"... Not inviting Alapag, Hontiveros (2009 edition) Romeo and Parks (2019 edition) are politically motive mistake.. He's not fit to be our Gilas coach..

Parks was invited but he declined. Romeo on the other hand was snubbed.

Never thought I would see Romeo arguably still in his prime age getting outplayed by a young RJ Abbarientos.

Terrence Romeo was supposed to be the next best pg in Asia and take the mantle from Castro. What could have been.

Remember the days that PG's were the least of our problems. Now that we have good wings and bigs, it's now the area that's not our strongest.

I still don't see it in guys like RJ or SJ, the level that Romeo played before from 2015-2018. He's really that guy, arguably at least on the level of Kawamura.

Wow. Didnt know CYG had conflicts with the players you mentioned. Saan mo nakuha yan?
