PBA 49th Season

I think the real problem is Ginebra players are being played out of position and they got so many guards that need to be ball dominant in order to be effective (Holt, Abarrientos, Ahamnisi). As for Abarrientos I dont think he will thrive in a team with a fixed system like the one in Ginebra, I think in Korea majority of the plays revolved around him and he has that freedom to shoot whenever he wanted to which isnt the case in Ginebra

If they draft QMB then they better get rid of Arana. QMB is a post player so does Arana.

If they dont trade Arana then goodluck with their spacing. Lol.

If i were Phoenix Fuel ill just tank this season. Having a Tyler Tio - Jason Perkins and QMB big three will make them instant contenders.
 
What's the age of Jonel Policarpio?
He's another good size small forward & may be another national team prospect perhaps a few years from now. I heard his defense is decent in the collegiate level.

understandable for Mav, Barefield had a bad shooting night before that, what i don't understand is Cu turning his back instead of trying to contest or defend, he got 2 bad defensive plays last night one was he switched with Scottie to guard Kwuketeye and ended up getting smoked
 
Just saw an interesting comment in one of the comments section that some PBA game highlight videos have some artificial crowd noises edited in to make it look like that there are more people in the live venues.

Yeah, Cu should have switched so that Barefield might have something to think about other than shoot. That was uncontested.

SMB is being punished heavily by the 4 point line. I dont think anyone in that team practices the 4 point line, Romeo tries but clearly is not capable, Teng can make a shot but is not being played.

yeah, also i don't understand why it was not Scottie guarding Barefield he was excellent defensively against him, that's why up to that point Barefield only had 9 points, if you remember I commented before that Ginebra should've opted for Kenmark instead of Go, boy is soft as a marshmallow

That's the problem with winning teams, "if ain't broke don't fix it", they are still refusing to adapt...
 
This early it seems teams are taking advantage of the 4 and 3 pt line to more than neutralize JFs advantage in the paint. I also think it is exacerbated that they dont have the perimeter defenders like peak Ross, peak Marcio and Arwind.

Oh I like SMB being punished & being beaten by weaker teams:cool:

Seriously speaking, as what Rds implied, other teams seem to utilize the 4-pt & 3 pt shots to mitigate SMB edge in the frontline. Its really good to see that the supposedly weaker teams can beat teams iike SMB, Ginebra & TnT from time to time.
 
Funny and ironic that the 4pt shot was suppose to free up space down low for JMF,

SMC needs floor spacers and perimeter defenders,
