I'd argue he is much more important than Tucker whose duties can be taken over by Ibrahim or Abu Hawwas.

They wouldn't have lost that 2021 game had they been able to limit Alsuwailem in the paint. Al-Dwairi was the answer to that. Just watch their recent ACQ match.

Basically, naturalized player + Al-Dwairi missing from their roster exposes them badly. Their only back up big is Mohd Hussein and he's already 35.

So that is my point.. w/o RHJ or any naturalized players for Jordan, they are in mid tier team, lower than Taiwan, w/ RHJ or any very good quality naturalized player, Jordan is in top 4.. Gilas w/o naturalized player can still reach top 8, but having Brownlee or any good naturalized player (Blatche and Douthit before), we can achieve atleast finals or win at all.. that's how very big valuable RHJ for Jordan.. We saw that already in last world cup, Jordan fighting to the end despite being heavy underdogs...that's why we waste opportunity to have RHJ with Gilas... What's good about Boatwright? He can't play D.. he's only scorer and nothing else, and that is concerning because we need a naturalized that can do it all... I'm sure if he still not yet recruit by Jordan, RHJ will likely choose Gilas..
 
OT: will PBA sending a team for BCL Asia? Any news about this? Kume Marcial promised last year to the organizers that they will join this year... Will they?

I can see Pangilinan breaking the bank for Mikey and maybe letting him go after the conference. I dont think they can trade for Barefield this early. Jalalon is a clown he was actively trying to throw the NP game last time he played and he hasnt played since, I love Bolick but youre basically putting another Nambatac in there, if you wanna win go for the kill - Williams / Barefield
 
Enoch Valdez’s name came up in spin on potential TNT guard recruits. I actually think SMB should pursue this guy. Yes his handles need improvement but Scottie showed you do not to be an advanced ball handler to play PG in the league. Valdez is actually one of the better defensive guards with his length and quickness. Something SMB badly needs with the aging Ross.

In June 2024, Commissioner Willie Marcial confirmed that the PBA would join the competition, stating, "Kasama naman tayo next year. Nagkausap na kami ni Mr. Andreas na 'wag muna sumali ang PBA dito sa 2024. Pero sa 2025, sasali na tayo." ​

The PBA had previously opted out of the inaugural BCL Asia tournament in 2024 due to a packed schedule, including commitments to the FIBA World Cup and the East Asia Super League (EASL). However, the league has expressed its intention to participate in the upcoming BCL Asia tournament. ​

As of March 2025, the PBA is in the process of selecting which team will represent the league in the BCL Asia. Commissioner Marcial mentioned that the board is finalizing the PBA representative, with the tournament scheduled to begin in June. ​

In addition to the BCL Asia, the PBA will also participate in the 2024-2025 EASL season, with two teams yet to be determined. ​

That's good to hear... I guess Marcial will tap TNT to represent there in BCL Asia since they are back to back champs this season, although will TNT accept? If they, they can tap Jefferson bros plus Kouame as naturalized player to strengthen the line up plus Pogoy, Oftana, Khobuntin, Erram, Nambatac and Aurin.. I don't know if even here will use Fiba rules in eligibility as concern.. BGR is not eligible, as well as Galinato...
 
I think for Ginebra, it's better to release some of their unused stars to balanced their rotation.. for me, they should only retain RJ, Scottie, troy, Malonzo and Holt.. while others should be release or traded.. too much stars will not help the rotation CTC wants.. they don't know how they will fit under CTC rotation... Give more playing time to Ralph Cu, Nards Pinto and even Aljon Mariano.. those players are always positive impact on the court and role players that CTC needs, they will go all out on the floor, diving in every possession and positive outcome to match up against the likes of Khobuntin, Clarito or Bryan Santos roles... They won from 2016-2020 every year with help of some role players doing dirty jobs to them... That is what the current Ginebra lacks today...
 
Asaytono and Cariaso are first 2 picks of next 10 greatest players in 50th greatest players in the PBA.. long overdue.... Hope that oldies should get majorities... Young players will have a chance in 75th anniversary...

Junmar winning 8 MVPs in last 10 years makes the panel board of selecting next greatest players easier and give way the oldies their much deserving selection...
 
Good picks, some of them I didn't notice because they are too old for me.. hahahahahaha, I think the likes of RDO, Simon, Racela, Tenorio will have their chances maybe in 75th anniversary (If PBA is still around by then)... Hopefully there will be multiple MVPs in next 25 year span, so that the retired players will get their selection...

Actually, I don't like that criteria.. imagine if Junmar didn't exist and the MVPs of last 10 years are different players? Nelson Asaytono and Danny Siegle will not again included because MVPs will be priority.. in NBA, they pick Dame Lilliard over Derrick rose, despite the latter won MVP and the former didn't... Rose holds the youngest winner of that award until now... It should be change.. It has to be atleast 15 years minimum playing in the PBA before consider it.. Imagine if Mikey won over Scottie and he did leave the league early? Is he deserving that award?
 
Guys like Racela, Tenorio, RDO, Simon should pray that in 25 year span of PBA (their 75th anniversary) there are many multiple MVPs win in that span, so that they will be included in the list...

So looks like up to 3 farm teams could be for sale. Terrafirma, Northport and Blackwater. If im not mistaken ive also read that dennis uy and phoenix are also having problems of their own as well.
