PBA 49th Season

And they also beat Gilas on that last window of WC 2023 Qualifiers. No way guy said they are same level as KSA and Qatar lol.

Lool Just look at the H2H record of Jordan v Saudi. Who do you think has it in their favor?

April 4 marks the start of the Philippine Cup. Shouldn't the PBA allow the champion team to savor their title first? The reason why winning a championship doesn't feel as significant or premium anymore is because, after winning the finals, a new conference begins just a week later, causing people to quickly move on from the recently won championship.

Heck without a quick google search, i wouldnt remember that TNT won the title for the previous conference

Who do ya'll got for the PHL Cup?

I don’t see GSM doing it without Brownlee.

SMC? Junemar is getting old.

TNT? Maybe if they get Mikey back?

Maybe Converge or Northport?

BGSM will always be on that semis to finals picture for me, their lineup is too deep but just underutilized as hell.

I say ROS has a chance on a finals stint but TNT still would be the team to beat.

facts lol, a team winning a championship in PBA is not as memorable as when Ginebra wins it.

Hot take, but i think converge will fizzle out next season with sga starting to pull out of that team.

Meralco should be the favorite being the defending champ. Bates needs to be healthy though.

TNT with BGR would be better but they still need another PG.

Honestly, on paper GSMs lineup is the strongest. All of their players were stars in other teams. The problem I think is they dont maximize it. Is Holt with all his pedigree this limited? He should get most of the touches and let Scottie play off him.

ROS would depend on Nocum and possibly Mamuyacs performance.

Again Converge would depend on how healthy Arana is and if Balti has a big improvement.

NP is a donut. They won’t be contenders.

SMB might still be a contender because of JMF. They must maximize Mo though. Also, they might need to get a defensive PG replacement for Ross.

Again, Mags will be better because of Lucero. But Jerom win’t be it because he list his defense after his injury.

Curious to see who will be the PG that TNT will get before next conference.

I think any 1 of these guys will be a KaTropa in the next coming days or weeks.

Mikey Williams
Sedrick Barefield
Kiefer Ravena
Jio Jalalon
Robert Bolick

Kiefer is doing good with Yokohama, don't think they will let him go if Yuki is not coming back.

Sedrick barefield is the most realistic

Is this confirmed? This might be the reason why Erram trade rumors came up. Yes BGR would be a big boost for them. He played great in SEA games but I forgot his play in the PBA.

He's already practicing with them since last month.. the management didn't forced him until he's 100% healthy... That was last month.. for sure TNT will activate him to help Kelly and Erram...

If I recall, Jordan went to the 3rd-place game in the FIBA Asia Cup with Dar Tucker as their NP. They also had a FIBA Asia Championship bronze in 2009 and a silver in 2011. I think they've been an Asian power for quite a while.

I'm talking about their local crew... They are really good with naturalized players starting with Rashiem Wright, Dar Tucker and now RHJ.. but when they playing w/o any naturalized player or not good NP player, their level is within Qatar and KSA.... Just watch 2022 World cup qualifiers between Jordan vs KSA when KSA upset Jordan, The latter used Weak Johannon as their naturalized player... And even when they participating Arab games where they can't parade naturalized player, they also lose to Syria...

I said local crew... Jordan w/o naturalized player is very weak compare if Gilas playing without naturalized player... That's how big impact RHJ is... Jordan historically recruiting very good naturalized player since early 2000s...

They have to trade one of their championship starting core of either Pogoy, Oftana or Erram for Barefield.. I don't think Jolas will let go all of those just desperately to get Barefield... They likely to wait Jio Jalalon for free agency on August... Unless there are re negotiations between Mikey and TNT camp for comeback season...

They also didn't have Ahmad Al-Dwairi who is crucial in all of their games.

I'd argue he is much more important than Tucker whose duties can be taken over by Ibrahim or Abu Hawwas.

They wouldn't have lost that 2021 game had they been able to limit Alsuwailem in the paint. Al-Dwairi was the answer to that. Just watch their recent ACQ match.

Basically, naturalized player + Al-Dwairi missing from their roster exposes them badly. Their only back up big is Mohd Hussein and he's already 35.

Hate to say it but this is what's happening with us (Kai's injury) too.

One post of cardona's fb saw Mikey still in the Philippines alongside Heruela.. contrary to the reports of Homer Sayson said Mikey already left here.. I think Mikey - TNT possible reunion is not yet finished... The opportunity to win grandslam is too good for them to pass out... Maybe the past not good relationship will likely put it away for one reason (operation grandslam)... As for Mikey, that is also good opportunity to revive his career here and to join with his teammates before to reach that rare achievement that only handful of PBA greats can achieve that...
