PBA 48th season

Norman Black won a championship in 2009, twice in 2011 with TNT and now with Meralco. All as a consultant. Mukhang mas okay pa siya ngayon as consultant kesa coach
 
So Meralco has 2 consultants? Black and Nenad? MVP's best coaches are in Meralco instead of TNT.
 
why is CJ Perez still with out NT? hope he gets replaced by one of the college players, he just has the worst shot selection + bad tunnel vision
 
Phoenix, Converge and even NLEX should start hiring foreign coaches / consultants to raise their level of play.. It help already w/ TNT last year w/ Serbian Gunorovic and now Meralco w/ Nenad... It will take time but for sure it will make them competitive team... I will not expect SMC teams, TNT and ROS will hire a foreign coaches since they have their prides / egos (Al Chua, CYG and Chot) while Don't expect farm teams such as Blackwater, Terrafirma and Northport doing this because they are not intent to win..

They need someone who can stretch the floor for Junemar while covering up his defensive short comings. Kinda hard if you ask me. Arwind is freakish as he has a knock for coming up with key rebounds / shots / blocks despite only 6'2 and being dumb ( on and off the court)

Arwind started off as an errstic 3 pt shooter. His closeness with RSA and his defense probably gave him the kapalmuks to shoot. He was really atrocious starting out. Like he would have a 1 of 9 game.

So you dont really need to get a good 3 pt shooter from the start. A decent defender with a decent FT or mid range will do. Tiongson might be the best one from the draft.
 
I hope that this will help in slowly moving away from a iso heavy gameplay and also hoarding players that don't compliment the team's best players. SMB could have benefitted from acquiring a 3 and D player or a 4 that is a great help defender instead of acquiring guys like Teng, Enciso, Manuel that don't really fit their team.

I got it wrong. And I'm very happy to be proven wrong. Glad that Newsome finally got his 1st ever PBA championship. Glad that Maliksi also got his PBA championship (I dont know if this is his 1st PBA title). Both Newsome & Maliksi being in the twilight of their PBA careers.
 
Smb holes ( pg and a stretch 4) will be compwnsated by imports ( noatwrught as stretch and a high iq lead american guard ala (jimmee fredette) or...jason brickman..

I have a depth at 3..might go big dange teng,mo manuel to get a kobe paras...

Maliksi got his 5th. He was part of the Grand Slam team of San Mig in 2013.

Ah OK.
But when Maliksi got those championship while playing for San Mig Coffee, he only had minimal role in that team. It is unlike the situation with Meralco in which he's playing a major role in the team. So this championship with Meralco must be so special for Maliksi especially now that he isn't getting any younger.
 
Honestly think Newsome might re assess his free agency decision with Meralco now winning a chip.

Lol If SMB gets Cade then spacing will be their problem. He doesnt have an outside shot. So let them clog the lanes with Junemar and Cade. Atleast Mo can shoot from the outside.

Arwind is a good shooter since his FEU days. He made FEU formidable team against La Salle.
 
Maliksi waa a vutal cog on one of san migs championship runs he usually got a small rile just because of his injiry and playing as backup of james yap..

Speakinc of allein despite 2 acls he managed to play 10 plus season in pba and at 37 by end of this years seems like he isnt on a downhill yet. The secret might be allein never averaged above 25 mins on his entire career..
