PAO vs OLY in Greek Cup final

I cant see how Olympiacos will keep their ass in the game.
They meet PAO at the worst moment for them. The Greens have been playing on a very high level lately. They just dominate this guys.
Olympiacos has too much issues going on. They will fight though, but it wont be enough.

I don't know. I could bet for Oly if the rate is really good for example. PAO looks like the heavy favorite, though.

In these kind of situations usually the underdog wins in Turkey (in Fener - Galatasaray derbies).

PAO have been steadily improving as the season has progressed (Their record in the Euroleague also shows this), while Olympiakos are currently going through a tough stretch especially with the injuries of their foreign players.

Hope it will be a great game to watch though :) (I know it's too much to ask but I really hope there won't be any riots and fights during or after the match :D)

Panathinaikos is the favorite now and although I expect a fight between 2 big clubs, I don't c Olympiacos escaping with a win.

Not only Panathinaikos is improving the last couple of months, we are as well. Still with the psychology of the dominator (PAO) + some Oly injuries + some "other" reasons my co-follower said... I give 60-40 chances for PAO

You have seen Olympiakos improving for a couple of reasons.

1. Childress not playing. Trying to get him into the game is hurting your team.

2. Vujcic. He has been playing rather well lately but if you take a look at the bigs that he confronted it is rather obvious why this is happening.

As for the comparison between the two teams and their results, Olympiakos played 3 games and won 2.

They won very very hard against Tau that was missing Splitter and without him they had no presence inside.

They won against Prokom. No big accomplishment really when their best big is the 100 year old Pat Burk.

And they lost at Milano by a tough team that has nothing to lose but is nothing great really.

Panathinaikos on the other hand has won all three games, by an average margin of 18+ points. Winning convincingly against Unicaja in Spain was surely a bigger feat than winning injury plagued Tau at home at the end. And winning by a big margin against Partizan and Roma (even at home) is harder than winning against Prokom in Poland.

If you are talking about A1 games, PAO crushed a Euroleague team, Panionios, by 47 points difference, almost a double score (97-50).

As for the other factor, we all know you all imply the refs. Well, for many years now Panathinaikos has been one of the best teams in Europe and their results make Oly's results in Euroleague seem like a joke. So you can say whatever you want, results against other teams, with foreign refs say the exact opposite than your "other reasons".

PAO looks really good this time of season but dont forget that in these kind of derbys other things are most important.Things like passion, will to win, determination and the shirt of the team.I mean i remember in the past an awful OLY,far less good than this that took the game untill the end against PAO or won the game.so i expect i tough game and the winner will be judged around the 35-40 minute.i dont see it so easy. But PAO is the heavy favorite.

the good news are the statements of both coaches about hooligans.i expect them to keep what they said..for those which didnt hear they assured that they were going to leave the arena if one coin will be dropped

this will be another huge game from all aspects on Sunday
THE match of the matches

Acquiring the services of Theo Papaloukas for a season:€3Μ.
Acquiring the services of Josh Childress for a season:€4.2M.
Reading the efforts of the fans of Panathinaikos 2 prove that their team is not favoured by the refs:Priceless.

Some things in life r just priceless, 4 everything else there is Mastercard!:D

how much for the efforts of Olys fans trying to prove they always lose because of the referees?

Is it pricelles too, or can I get it with my mastercard???

PAO in his 11 years of domination in greece, has won 3 euroleagues, participated in 4 european finals and in 6 final 4s.

PAO even lost one championship while beiing the current european champion.

So please, PAO has won everything fair and square. Get over it.

PAO is the most succesfull european team since the F4 was established 20 years ago. Do you really think such a team needs referees to win the joke that is the greek championship??

About the final . PAO is the big favorite since it has a better team overall and is currently playing way better than his opponent. If it wasnt olympiakos ( PAOs traditional rival, those games are always derbies) I would say 80-20. Now I say 60-40.

About the refs, Franky has said it all. You are just making up excuses beforehand. Neutral fans here all give Panathinaikos as the favourite because of players, form and coaching, only you guys just talk about the refs even before the game. If you lose, you already have the excuse ready, if you win it will be a triumph over PAO AND the refs according to you. It is a win win excuse for you, no matter what.

Oh and you should get your facts straight. Childress signed a contract for $20m for three years or $6,66m per year or 5,2m+ euro per year.

PS: Don't forget to count Batiste's moving picks that the refs will not call so you can translate each of them into 2 points and then justify the difference.

PS2: How many winter coats do you buy for 5,2m euro?

PS3: Grow up.

If u have a Mastercard, u can buy that. If u don't have one, I can help u get one. I just need your tax declaration and an ID!:D
I agree with u about the possibilities of the teams entering the final. Still, it doesn't prevent me from having complaints about past treatment.
The truth is that PAO didn't need the referees 2 win many championships. It is also true though that they had it.
No need 4 history lessons I suppose...

I realized that the PAO-Olympiakos derby (I like how it's called the "Mother of all Battles" or the "Derby of the Eternal Enemies" :D) doesn't only include football, basketball, and volleyball but even Water Polo :D.

Kala, at this rate u guys should have a derby in marbles and why not curling :p (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curling)

Neutral fans don't care about the result, so there is no need 2 care about the refs. We guys remember what happens so many times and that's why we start this needless discussion.
Now I would like 2 c where I even implied that we r gonna lose because of the refs or that I consider PAO a favorite because of the refereeing. U can also search in the "red" forum too(apart from a couple of jokes about the referees that refer 2 the past). I also consider Panathinaikos the favorite because of players, team and the way they play inside the court. Even with this being said, I still don't trust most of the greek refs and don't expect much from them tomorrow.
The salary of Childress was calculated by the €/$ rate that applied when he signed. With the current one u r right, it is roughly $5.2M. But again, Childress will get USD, so his contract 4 this season is ~$6.67M.

P.S.1 R u so confident that the difference will b so big?
P.S.2 U can buy more than with $4.2M, that's 4 sure.
P.S.3 No comment, there is plenty of other posters that can judge that too.
P.S.4 Next time don't jump 2 conclusions with what I write. I don't mean something more than what u read.

TWISM yes PAO sometimes got some calls that decided games. So did Oly. Last year only in the 4th final, there was a non call on batist that would have decided the game in PAOs favor.

The truth is that greek refs are influenced by the court. Its usual in greece to have some help (60-40) from the refs when you play in your court.
PAO got some more calls than Oly because it was a better team and had the homecourt advantage.

If Oly gets it this year, he will have the same treatment. We saw it last year in the 4th final, and several other times in SEF.

Again there is no big conspiracy here.

Oly never had the home court advantage and thats why PAO got all the titles. You cant expect to win the championship against possibly the best team of the last 20 years in europe , without homecourt advantage. You can hope, but you can t expect it.
