Ok thanks!
i heard that Seraphin is close also to sign, so in this case he will be the starting center, papa will be the 2nd and Bentil will be the 3th, right?

Ben Bentil is an excellent signing. On the cheap (150K-200K max). He had great stats vs PAO and Oly in pretty much all games.

In A1:

MPG 21, PPG 11.65, 50%(2P), 38%(3P), 72%(FT), 6,3 REBS, Fouls made 52, Fouls received 100, PIR 14,5.

He's only 24. PAO should look to lock him in for minimum 3 years.

At 2.06 cm I see him currently as a "Poor man's Chris Singelton" but with great potential.

bentil is offensively on singleton's level, but he is bad at defence. panathinaikos needed another type of player,a rim protector like tyus. anyway, waiting for the 2 guys in the backcourt. the starting sg (most probably from china or beaubois) and the g/f. i would be happy if we could add Ryan Broekhoff for g/f. any info if he stays in the nba or not?

I have a feeling we will go for 7-8 foreigners this year. If that is the case the signings so far are DECENT.

With Oly in A2 we don't need to have a such a strong Greek roster after all.

Each his own.

For a 25 million budget you can probably find a better player for Nunnaly. For us and our 10 million he's a luxury.

We once had Dominique Wilkins, Alvertis and Siskauskas as our small forwards but that was then and this is now.

How can Pao afford to pay Calathes 2.5m, Nunnaly 1m, Rice, not to mention other players with its 10m budget? I don't get it.

Dont get angry.I'm just going by the official budget sheet of PAO BC according to which Pao has been making profits 4 seasons in a row and has a budget of about 8 million euros.

Calathes 2.3, Rice 600, Kalaitzakis 100
Pappas 750
Papapetrou 800
Wiley 500, Mitoglou 350, Thomas 750
Papagiannis 600, Bentil (250)

That adds up to 6.750.000

We make a profit because of the low budget and basically being No 1 or 2 in season tickets and tickets sold in Europe. We also have tv rights and 21 sponsors.

rice signed for 350K.
panathinaikos has a 9M net salary. the total budget is around 15-16M.

greek journalists are totally morons and compare greek teams net salary with total budget of other teams to make it look like we have 1/3 or 1/4 their budget. fener has 25-30 budget but i doubt their net salary is more than 15M

i hope we get rid of thanasis trasokunbo. he is not a basketball player and is always the best player of the enemy team sending them in the free throw line so easily. even better if olympiakos gets him and pair him with papanikolaou. it would be the funniest duo in euroleague next season. both players lack basic basketball skills like dribling, shooting(papanikolaou used to be good 6 years ago) and others

Ah, if only Greece could have dpg as it's finance minister

I wonder how long will Euroleague and the Greek Authorities will turn the blind eye to this...

so far the only team accused for tax evasion was olympiakos in papaloukas case. the player won the appeal cause aggelopouloi changed the contract's terms when taxes went from 20 to 45% agreeing under the table to iconically make his contract look much lower than 3.5 which he had signed and in the end they didnt pay him the difference. papaloukas won the appeal and 1.75 million with it. if aggelopouloi have any proof about tax evasion they can appeal in greek authorities (their speciality) and we will find out if dpg tax evades or not.

about euroleague they make moves about financial misconducts and guess what. your team (once again) is the one accused and fined for not paying their players (toupane and 2 more ex players.maybe roberts who made appeal and maclean or papapetrou the other one).

Do you really believe that PAO BC is a profitable company for the last 5-6 years?Cause that's what their balance sheet says.
It'd be a sort of a miracle if true,no other euroleague team makes profit as far as i know.Besides why does DPG claims all the time that he "bleeds" financially to sponsor PAO.If they are profitable he actually earns money!

So either the balance sheet is dodgy or PAO has found the secret formula every other euroleague team misses. There is nothing in between.

What does it mean profitable in this situation? Does it mean that revenue was higher than the budget? Which means that the revenue exceeded 15mln? Do finances that came from sponsors, or in this case, DPG, count as revenue? Or cost?

LOL

Have you seen that moron?

Additionally, the Management Control Commission has decided to initiate an investigation that will begin by conducting a compliance audit by an external auditing firm of Panathinaikos OPAP Athens to ensure that the club is fulfilling its FSFPR obligations.

DPG has not provided any financial info to Euroleague and that's why they hired an external audit you idiot green sheep

Beeeeee

PAO's balance sheets are published and anyone can clearly read that there has been no official investigation from Greek tax officers since 2012! This is the magic country we live in. The country of mafia junkies who don't pay any taxes

Or, DPG sees himself as a revenue source for Pao, which explains Pao making a profit (!) and DPG complaining about bleeding money... It's quite funny that people complain about Turkish tax rates when we don't have an owner to supply money endlessly, not to mention the ridiculously weak Lira (revenues) against Euro (expenses).
