We need to check regulation but for me if 3 teams finishes 1-2 and Canada 3-0

all scores vs Canada should be erased and +- counted only from head to head games of 3 teams

Spain have -12 and +7 = -5
Australia have +12 and -6 = +6
Greece have -7 and +6 = -1

In such case Spain is out if they lose even by 1pts


If regulation says count also canada pts diffrence even then Spain can lose only by 2pts or 3pts either way.

My mistake I forgot games vs Canada would not count.
 
If understand situation correctly now Greek players faces where kinda not satisfied after missing last shot because Brasil - 7 Greece -8

If Greece would have made that last shot they would have been in 1/4 100% and celebrating.


Now they need Serbia beat Sudan by atleast 3 pts


Brasil qualified to 1/4 game after last missed Greece shot and they are celebrating behind the cameras :)
 
Relieving victory and possibly a huge game against France/Germany coming up if Serbia do what they are expected to do.

Pity for the ones that chickened up these summer and prefered to go on vacation.
 
I love watching Canada defence and how their guards are fighting over screens damm....

I mean all of them even Shai and Murray they really put effort in defence. Not just Dort or Brooks or Alexander

Even in Usa i can find players like Curry or Haliburton or Embiid who dont put big effort in defence
 
Its unbelievable to what extend the Canadian player underestimate Spaniards :P
 
Why did Scariolo take the timeout before the free throws? Does not make any sense to me.
 
Canada have beaten Spain, I think this is the earliest the Spaniards have gone out since the 2000 games.
 
Someone told me that Serbia will avoid USA in the quarter final if they loose against South Sudan. Is this correct?
 
Not bad, we competed but couldn't overcome another very bad showing of Brown. Hopefully we can reload and keep playing at a high level in the next Olympic cycle.

Yes. Finishing third they will play QFs against one of the best first place finishers. One will be USA, so that matchup is not possible. And each of the top teams is placed on opposing sides of the bracket.

I don't believe that Setbia will risk a game vs Germany or France in the QFs. It is not like they are so good that 2nd place is guaranteed.

Relax, fixing results is not in our blood. Especially when it comes to basketball. However, it could be an interesting game vs South Sudan :rolleyes:

They removed a kidney from Simanic last year, I'm afraid of any possible injuries, they play physical but really reckless. Especially im such important game.
 
You know how bad France is when Yabusele is your main creator and scorer.

Is Wemby going to score something from the paint or taking step back threes is all he can do on offense? Time to slow down on that hype around him. Super talented but not ready to play winning basketball yet.
 
I think I’m about to puke every time I watch a French nt game ever since 2022
