For the first time in years I'm not really following preparations for Eurobasket, used to make such threads/lists too :) All I can remember after reading the name you wrote

Russia - Sergey Karasev (injury)
Slovenia - Zoran Dragic (injury)
GB - Ben Gordon (didn't show up), Joel Freeland (Injury)
Italy - Alessandro Gentile
Germany - Maxi Kleber
Greece - Giannis Antetokounmbo (I guess you just forgot to add it)

Most damaged teams ;

1- Greece
2- Turkey
3- Spain
4- Serbia

While Serbia and Spain can compensate Teodosic and Llull partly (not fully) , Turkey can't compensate Omer Asik and Ersan Ilyasova, same goes for Greece, they can't compensate Spanoulis and Anteto.

you forgot the Gianis

And Llull, though this isn't a fake injury.

Greece - Giannis Antetokounmbo (I guess you just forgot to add it)

yes, I have both him and Llull of course in my tables.
just missed on writing their names here while making the thread.
regarding Ben Gordon.
did he really didn't show up?
I couldn't find any info except that he was cut couple of days ago (prior to GB - Greece game).

Well if you put Spanoulis then you can also add Zisis there.

Afaik he should've had to come, but he never showed up, so coaches just lost the hope/patience and cut him, too little time left

Injuries and refusals to play are the natural status of teams, and this is always the case, so this championship is not exclusive, the only difference is that one team one year, next year other teams lose more players, so it needs to be ready, for example. we, even in gold, in 2003, had at least two very big losses, Sabonis and Ilgauskas, and if the team's depth is sufficient, this does not prevent it winning the title.

France

Tony Parker - retired from NT
Nicolas Batum - personal reasons
Fabien Causeur - injury
Rudy Gobert - personal reasons
Ian Mahinmi
Alexis Ajinca
Frank Ntilikina

Germany
Paul Zipser - personal reasons (?)
Dirk Nowitzki - retired from NT
Maxi Kleber

+ Timothe Luwawu for France, Daniel Theis for Germany

so anyway, what's the deal with Kanter and the national team and what are those so called "political reasons" that prevent him from putting on the turkish jersey for one summer at least?

He's openly against Turkish president Erdogan so the latter closed the nt doors for him.

damn, these guys from the south are hot blooded for sure...:D Mixing the politics with this game of orange basketball lol. I guess in some countries being a pro athlete and having your own "incovenient" political views is a recipe for disaster then. One could even argue why would a basketball player, who doesn't even spend much of the time in his home country, should start expressing his opinion regarding the current leader of his birth nation, being far away from the region and it's political issues and etc. lol, but some just can't keep their trap shut I guess:rolleyes:

Joel Bolomboy is missing for Ukraine too. He said he will play for the national team on this EC but got injured in the Summer League or something.

Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk too. He certainly had a place in the Ukraine senior national team but decided U20 EC was enough national team for him in this summer and returned to USA.

As for Len, he never plays for the national team anyways, he shouldn't even be considered as lost, you can't lose what you never had anyway. Ilgauskas would be on "notable players missing" list for 15 consecutive years.
