Unmatched talent + natural strength combined with work ethic (at least in Jokic's case). In that case athleticism is not vital. But those are very rare cases :D

Yup. It's strange when 2 of those chubby prodigies appear at the same time and become GOATs of Europe and even NBA. Wemby following these also is something. Very intense stretch for Euro talent.

The best player in the world and it's not even close right now.

I once called Sabonis "babe Jokic" when he was far from his ALL NBA self, and Sabonis made huge strides towards greatness (at least in the NBA), and yet he remains the same old Baby Jokic compared to Joker. Indeed this era belongs to him. I'm all in - fundamentals. USA looks clueless LOL :D They don't have such level PROs anymore. Euros rule.

Ridiculous. Actually, hard to find words to explain this kind of player. It's not that this is 5th straight triple doube, it's more that he has done it 5th time in a row before 4th quarter, and in previous 4 games didn't even play in the 4th quarter. And he is always trying crazy stuff like this shot, I can imagine what his 3 FG% would be like without taking shots at the end of time so often. Proves time and time again that he does all this just naturally without trying to pump his stats or care about FG%. I doubt there will be a player like Jokic ever again. Incredible talent and selfless player in a time where everything is bursting with ego.

As for MVP discussion, It's clear that this going to be between SGA and Jokic. And I wouldn't have anytihing against if SGA wins MVP, he is also having brutal season and incredible impact in Thunder team. However, how do you not give it to a player with this kind of stat line https://www.nba.com/stats/player/203999. This is the best individual season in NBA history, I wonder what Nuggets would look like without Jokic, but I can bet they wouldn't look good. That's all you need to know about Jokic's impact.

Jokic at U19 World championship in 2013. Played with Micic, Milutinov and Dobric if I'm not mistaken. Funny to see this, even back then he flashed some passes from the high post, shooting threes and finishing with great touch and footwork in the post. I guess he wasn't so hidden after all.

The man played 40 minutes and 38 seconds straight without going to the bench. And was the focal point in every single possession. Absurd stamina and overall strength. Top 3 most ready players in entire NBA.

Serbian basketball has been truly blessed with this kind of talent.

Watching highlights from the past few games after coming back from 10 day break, he seems even quicker, faster, more athletic, running up and down the court like crazy. This 61 point triple double is particularly crazy, every single shot, dribble, footwork, pass is a piece of art LOL

Definitely the best basketball of his career. Triple double average is insane, something no one thought one center could be able to pull off. Besides that, various stats from this clip are just mind blowing. Jokic is pretty much the definition how the game of basketball should be played. This has been one of the greatest if not the greatest individual season in the history of basketball. The man has scored or asissted over 57 points per game. Shot almost 42% from 3 while taking 20 + full court heaves. He is just joking around.

Zubac defended Jokic as well as anyone could and really made Jokic work hard in ths paint, but still Jokic managed to do this

Hahahahaha

Jokic is just a brutal basketball player. He even drew the last defensive possession to deny SGA from getting the ball.

But I still think OKC will the this series, at some point Jokic will be too tired. Such a bad job from Nuggets front office to not surround Jokic with more quality players. Gordon is not an all star player but he is better than quite a few so called all star players.
