The knack on Marcelo back then was that he’s too short at 5’10 to be a shooting guard. The best offer he got was a Team B slot at Arellano. But Cholo Martin was not renewed at Arellano. So he moved to CEU where he blossomed. But hey historically SBU is no stranger to a 5’10 athletic shooting guard. Before we had Boybits Victoria in that same mold.

If I read the news article right the lowering of age will start on Season 101 or first sem of SY 2025-26.

Marcelo played for Letran in the Next5Hoops tournament where they won only 2 games of 8 I think then forfeited their last game pa nga.

A gma article dated sept 2024 said it starts on season 102 for both jrs and srs. So not sure if they changed it again.

Yes marcelo played for them already thats why i believe he already enrolled with letran at the time. I believe transferees has to be enrolled with their new teams before the current season starts or else they wont be eligible the following season.​

Has manlapaz ever played any games for mapua in the tourneys they joined?

I believed he did the same thing to eac thats why im skeptical he'll make mapua's lineup. He has the talent but really dont see him as a student athlete anymore.

most likely he will sign a contract soon, maybe around March or April, latest May.

Naveen gave a hint last night.

its better as well, so that Cyril Gonzales can be maximized.
 
Next target of the Red Lions would be the fil-am 6'7-6'8 wing that can play on s101. For the past 2 years when the Red Lions are in the US for training he always attend. I think he will graduate this year and can play right away.
