It says JRU hahaha.

What a turn of events lol. And jru of all places? That avida condo is way far from jru's campus, they could have gotten him somewhere closer in manda lol. Im guessing this now this has to be acads related. I mean mapua is one of the hardest universities in the country.

What a turnaround hahaha but this is money related. Some says jru is backed up by abra

He'll only turn 22 this year. But i agree, he fits better in the ncaa. Atleast he has the off year to develop his perimeter skills.

Wasn't he like 20 already in 2022? He was not able to play for a season in NCAA jrs due to being overage. I might be wrong about 2022 though, around that year to 2023 to be exact.

Its mangubat

Ah i see. Good for jru and sean salvador or tj abdullah haha, clears them a spot for next season. I mean mapua peeps has to expect this. This may not be the last time coach nani poaches a couple more of his ex players.

Hubilla turns 23 tomorrow Feb 27 hence the number 72 when he played for the Red Cubs. Hence the timing of the transfer. On Hubilla’s terms. Lol

Hubilla and Mangubat are two key losses for Mapua.

Nagpaalam naman siguro ng maayos. I would assume they did not enroll this semester. Hence the hot pursuit to convince Escamis to play for one more year. Lol

I think it’s more “utang na loob” than money.

Birthday is Feb 27 2003. He wanst eligible season 99 since he was 20 already. 19 was the max age for ncaa jrs back then

Money and looks like books related haha. Oh well. I maybe biased but mapua is too stacked anyways, gives a better chance for csb and sbu to catch up haha

Abra Weavers officials now back JRU. Former backer of Mapua. Looks like they brought Hubilla with them.

Is JRU even a F4 team at this point?

Not this year. And imo not in the next few years unless they get a couple more guys besides hubilla, mangubat and presumabky torculas. They cant get it from thr jrs programs so they still gotta recruit. On the bright side, those 3 guys just won a ring already so winning isnt prolly their main motivation for moving to jru.

Yup, looks like cong bernos means business. Question is how long can he sustain the support and good for jru lets see if they'll be able to end that 50 plus years championship drought. Good for the ncaa as well. From what is see jru is the last school that didnt have any major funding. Atleast ncaa will be more competitive

2002. Hubilla was already 20-going-21 in Season 98 Jrs. NCAA adjusted age limits because of COVID; 20 for the juniors and 25 for the seniors. But will revert back to 19 (juniors) and 24 (seniors) next year.

Hubilla, SJ Moore and Vhoris Marasigan were all born 2002.

He's 2003 born. There are articles supporting this so not sure where you got 2002. Age limit for jrs was 19, now they returned it to 18 for season 102.

Ok my apologies I got it all mixed up. Lol.

But I’m pretty sure Moore, Marasigan and Hubilla were all born on the same year.

I know sj is also 2003 born, not sure with marasigan. Anyway its all good bud, did some research as well, they did raise the age limit to 20 and below for ncaa jrs season 98 but i guess they reverted it back to 19 and below the following season. Then back to 18 and below for season 102.

Yeah but imagine going from a champion team who's got a good chance to repeat to a rebuilding team. Also, not that I'm judging, but no one would ever convince to transfer to JRU

I have the same thoughts. Tho as ive said dont think winning matters to them anymore, its gotta be about the money or acads(easier to pass) or both for them now. Sayang since if the basketball gig doesnt workout for them, that mapua degree will come in handy for them.
