Possible FSA for season 101?
Possible FSA for season 101?
No FSA pls. The real correct approach if we care about development is to lower the max age to 22
If they're really hellbent on kicking out the mercenaries then they should really be strict in regards with ligang labas and academics.
unpopular opinion is that players in the collegiate leagues should be strictly amateur and no agents/managers/representatives.. the moment that agents are there talking in behalf of players and negotiating for allowances and incentives, they are considered pros already..
if they are saying that players only have a short shelf life, then by all means jump to the pros already..

Honestly dont mind the managers, representatives etc. Especially if most of these guys actually help in the development of the said player's career. Not everyone are on the escamis or liwag level that will surely have a pro career, for many college basketball is their peak. So nothing wrong with whatever bag they chase as long they know the risk and repercussions of their actions. You see for most of these guys, they're the breadwinners of the family, some even have kids their own and will all know how costly that is.
imo one of best way to develop these kids, let the game be less physical, call it as it is. After all in actual fiba games, we dont see this physicality. Call the games more according to what is being called in fiba. Thats should lessen the extra motions, flops etc and actually make guys really play. I mean shouldnt it be one of ncaa's goal to help identify talent for our gilas team.
as what i mentioned, if they are breadwinners or if their shelf life is short, just jump immediately to the pros (mpbl or pba).. sad to say, most are enrolled but are not really showing up in classes, but has time for panalays.. kaya nabansagan na mercenaries, they are making a mockery of the educational systems to whose their uniforms they represent
^^Add Daniel Marcelo of CEU to Letran. Havent seen him with Letran but he might be the next Jimboy Estrada in terms of impact.
As what ive also mention, not everyone is built for the pros, if they think they're ready then for sure they've already done it. I mean even in the mpbl level, you really think these youngsters will take away spots of ex pba guys or other collegiate standouts thats surely better than them? Again not everyone is buikt for the pros, many will only peak at the collegiate level.
Anways Lets not generalize the manalilis to everyone who has agents. I can surely tell you that those with csb diligently attend their classes, one look at their ig and you could see how serious they are with it. Heck even charles tiu has a standard with his players' acads, he went throught it when he was with ateneo. So they're strict as well, you could ask carlos sumabat and jeric canete of it. Friends within the perpetual program say the same thing. Even guys in mapua could attest to it as well. Again nothing wrong with earning from the side from these games, as long as again they know the risk and repercussions of their actions. At the end of the day, if they get caught naman, then they'll be kicked out of the league naman din, as for those that keep on getting away with it, then let em, again its their career risking naman.

Mapua and Benilde will still be the favorites in season 101.
Meanwhile, San Beda’s chances would depend on hopefully an injury-free offseason. The inclusion of Jimmy and Janti already address the lack of leadership that the RL encountered in season 100. Not yet sure if Puno and/or Andrada will return but the earlier they declare their intent to play in Season 101, the better.

That’s what they also said with SBU last year despite Jacob Cortez leaving. The Mapua transferees for S101 are really good on paper like the SBU transferees for S100.
But it remains to be seen if they (Mapua holdovers and transferees) can jell together.
Puno and Andrada are open to come back next year (2025). They can play and still apply for the PBA Draft. But the downside is that they’ll miss one PBA conference. This is what James Kwekuteye was trying to avoid so he decided to skipped his final year in 2033. Puno has interests overseas. I don’t know if that will translate to a contract offer.

Lols. AP Manlapaz is in his third school. Had he stayed in Adamson, he could have had a signifant playing time.
Why did he even leave in the first place? Seemed like coach nash had plans for him and was already being featured in the team. Pretty mind boggling imo.
