NCAA Season 100

After watching junior finals, the difference between nbtc and ncaa.. both have talented players but really if you mix chemistry with talent.. basketball purists dream.. The thing i Ididnt see yet in nbtc..

Can not compare a showcase tournament team where players probably have played together in only a handful of games with no real camaraderie to a main high school tournament where everyone is playing for school pride and players are playing together for a long time (and young bench guys are playing all out to get bigger roles in future seasons).

Better comparison would be to watch this top nbtc players playing for their respective high school teams in their main school leagues.

JC Bonzalida and Amiel Acido are best buds. We might see them play together for the same team.

The last time RLs got an NCAA Jrs MVP from another school was Jake Pascual (PCU 2006 NCAA Jrs MVP).

Oh definetely. He has the skilleset, only problem for him is IQ and decision making which should develop over time. He tends to hero ball at times which leds to it being detrimental to his team either by forcing bad shots or commiting to's for handling the ball too long.

Yeah, it can be improved/developed overtime, especially that he's still young. I remember Jamie Malonzo being a poor decision maker when he was still with Northport. But since his transfer to Ginebra, it seems such aspect of his game has slowly improved.

According to spin.ph, the grace period to investigate expired. So ncaa will not lift a finger anymore.

I posted this before that as far as I can remember you can challenge the eligibility of a player only before the second round of that same season.

EAC is being sponsored by PG Flex Lenoleum.

Correction it is Jumbo Plastic Linoleum. PG Flex is a rival company. Jumbo Plastic has been supporting Coach Jerson and Hope Christian for nearly a decade now. Jumbo Plastic even put up a team in the now defunct PCBL.

I stand corrected. Thankyou sir.

The Cebu recruits are not really big. Well by ncaa standards they are. So does that mean Vince will get the last spot?

One of the Cebu recruits may be announced soon. A 6’3-4” lefty high flyer who was a former ADU Baby Falcon a couple years back.

Why do we put a PH city in hometown for Filfors? Why can’t we be honest and put the actual city or state? Why do we have to say its the parent or grandparent’s hometown?

Most likely born to an american and a filipino making him a fil american but he was born and raised in Cagayan. Hence, stating cagayan as his hometown is accurate.

Possible. But the PBA has been announcing the adopted hometowns of Filfors who obviously were born and grew up in another country for so long. Many of those are third generation and used their grand parents hometown. I doubt that many of them have any connection to their so called hometowns at all. The PBA may have wanted to localize these Filfors, like Asi's so-called home town, where nobody actually knows his grandmother. But I'd rather have the truth than a fake marketing campaign.

Edit:

Looking at his history he seems to be a homegrown. I apologize for this mistake but I stand by my comment with regards to the PBA.
